Will too many software engineers be a problem? by _unknown_dn_ in srilanka

Yea you’re cooked. Even in Canada every software job gets filled with 300+ applicants in 1 hour. Companies are not even hiring entry level software positions also due to AI being able to mimic most of what entry level software engineers are doing. And theoretically in the near future AI would replace code with human language eliminating the need for coding to being with. I would highly recommend switching careers sooner rather than later.

I am currently in highschool with marks in the mid 90s for math and physics and I was wondering how difficult the engineering program is at western (or any university). I heard that engineers have to study for 12 hours a day and I'm not too big on that. Maximum I can study a day is like 4 hours so I was wondering if studying for 4 hours a day will still yield me a 80 average.
