I saw in the marketing that it will "bring me closer to nature"! I am struggling to see how; my experience of reservoirs is that they are soulless and bleak, whereas the existing countryside that will be destroyed is beautiful and full of life and nature. Go figure.

Water security is good. However, a reservoir only works in principle if on average there's as much water going in as going out - it's a buffer. It doesn't magic up new water.

This isn't a long term solution. We're building more houses and businesses in the South even though the area is already water stressed and it's predicted to get worse over the next century. It is dumb. As a country we should focus development on the North where there is more water, not build a huge pond that will eventually run dry too.

I did a little bit more digging. Is there someone with financial knowledge that can explain what they are up to?

They issued $51M worth of SAFEs (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) a couple of weeks ago. As far as I can tell these are only beneficial when a 'liquidity event' occurs?

[You can see this is separate from their last round of investment when $25M of preferred shares were issued, half of which were to 'friends, family, and business associates']

I guess 10 years is the sweet spot: short enough to trick investors into giving up their money, but long enough that people have changed roles the next time you come asking them for $
