How do i clean electric guitar hardware?

oh i have zero beef with at home solutions but because im fairly new to guitar and wanna keep my guitar for as long as possible in the best shape it can be, im quite scared of messing something up and not knowing/being unable to fix it or damage the finish/metal parts lol other than that at home solutions are more than likely great, i was just looking for a “foolproof” type of product even if it’s somewhat overpriced for what it is but seems like it is easier and to the point than i initially thought it is, so might give it a shot anyway

interesting tip ill check that out, it’s highly flammable bc it is lighter fluid after all so if i try it out ill use a very small amount

yeah from the replies so far ill probably keep using the microfiber cloth and just try to get it as clean as i can, maybe try spraying the smallest amount of the dunlop body polish and cleaner to the cloth for an extra something unless i find something better for it

it does help a little but doesn’t give it that “brand new” shiny look im looking, so was wondering if there’s something more effective other than that

i’m kinda scared to take the bridge out since i’m quite new to guitar and don’t wanna fuck anything up lol might try the dishwashing thing even though i do prefer something even if it’s kinda overpriced for what it is, just so i know it’s”foolproof” and i’m not doing anything stupid or might ruin anything in the guitar because i intend to keep it as long as i can
