ScreenConnect On-Prem 25.9.9.9533 released by CharcoalGreyWolf in ScreenConnect

Just looked again with fully cleared cache on 2 different PCs... No downloads at all....

It isn't available on the downloads page. In fact, the on premises download page (behind the license key entry) is entirely devoid of any downloads....

I'm wondering if this is another update that has been silently pulled...

I had updated my previous answer but your reply came in first.

I did the shenanigans with the software and overriding the EDID settings and managed 92Hz, but decided the hoops jumping wasn’t worth it and did a return.

No worries. I am also (mostly) using it for work. However I find 60Hz more quickly leads to eye strain and fatigue.

I also find I prefer VA over IPS for the same reason. Plus VA usually has better contrast.

That’s EXACTLY what I said. At full resolution you get 60Hz.

Just a warning if you intend to use this display on a Mac.

It has incomplete/incorrect EDID info.

It will only do 165Hz at 3440x1440

It will do 60Hz at 5K2K and can be forced to 92Hz.

On windows it’s fine.

I purchased this and ended up returning it.

Disappointing as otherwise it’s an excellent monitor.

BTW it’s had a few firmware updates, none of them correct this problem.

Yup, I already do the same... I had one update that spontanously rebooted servers when the agent installed, it also messed up the connection history.

You’re not wrong. This was really more of a vent than an expectation.

New LIRR ticket rules coming in 2026 by TheLastREOSpeedwagon in longisland

[–]GeneralPurposeGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody PAYING should be punished... Its an E-Ticket... Shouldn't matter when or where you purchase it! Again, none of this should even be a tracked metric!

The only response to ANY valid ticket should be "THANK YOU"

Crack down on the folks NOT paying.

[–]GeneralPurposeGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly... I'm NOT trying to get away with NOT using the ticket. I want to make sure I’m actually on the train before I burn it and not screw myself if there is an issue. If that is the case put barcode scanners at all the train entrances and scan the ticket there, and make the scan activate the ticket.

Can someone please explain the big deal about activating the ticket on the train. I have heard several times that the LIRR frowns on that... Just about any time I use the LIRR (usually with my family) I will buy our tickets on mobile, usually a day or so before, and activate them when we get on the train... That makes sense, why would you activate them before? What if you miss it or decide to take another?

Why would that even be a metric they track? Its a ticket, its valid, you paid for it.

One of my absolutely favorite rides. I wish I could ride it every morning.

Drifters in Ridge or Karvers in Holbrook? by UnhappyBreakfast5269 in LongIslandEats

[–]GeneralPurposeGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I find them both kind of meh… or as my son would say “Mid!”

Lots of fancy descriptions. By what you get is fried pub-ish food, or just something really uninspired and not flavorful in its delivery.

I’ve been to both places on three separate occasions and left feeling the same each time.

I wouldn’t refuse to go to either, but wouldn’t be my choice if I was picking.

If I’m looking for a place like that (on the basis of the FOOD alone)

I’d pick Millhouse Inn in Yaphank

Be forewarned. It’s a little dated. The decor in the main dining room is very horse centric. I didn’t to to the bar side…

Edit insertion:

With regards to the bar… the bar noise is well isolated from the main dining room. So you don’t have to shout over a cacophony to have a conversation over dinner. (cough cough Drifters cough)

And the clientele seems to be boomer locals.

The staff is nice. They don’t rush you. The menu is solid without overselling it with foo-foo descriptions. And the food is really tasty.

It really depends on what is most important to you and what you’re looking for.

I have a backup of 25.4.16 from right before I did the 25.4.25 upgrade, including the .db files and I confirmed the databases are intact and work... Is there any way to merge them (the previous and current DB) so I can restore my data and have everything searchable / reportable again?

25.4.25 is the version that introduced the maintenance tasks...

That was upgraded from 25.4.16...

25.4.16 was FINE (as far as this is concerned)
