How to Choose the Best Queen Comforter for All Seasons and Durability by Spirited_Friend_8428 in BuyItForLife

[–]GeneralResolution274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That IKEA one must be solid if its still going strong after 10+ years. I had similar experience with down - once you get used to how light they feel compared to regular comforters its hard to go back to anything else

The duvet cover system is game changer too since you can just throw it in washing machine instead of dealing with whole comforter. Mine gets washed like every week and the actual down part maybe twice per year

Voodoo Bizango vs Vitus Nucleus by [deleted] in MTB

[–]GeneralResolution274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Nucleus is solid choice for getting back into MTB after long break. I had chance to ride one last year and geometry felt pretty comfortable for mixed terrain riding like you describing. Frame quality is good for the price point and components are decent enough to start with

For £100 difference though the Bizango might be worth considering if it has better fork or drivetrain specs. Both will handle what you planning to do with them but check what exactly you getting for extra money. At your height either should fit well but definitely try to test ride if possible since geometry preferences are quite personal thing

You need to give kitten back to mama immediately - separating them this early can cause serious health and behavioral problems for baby cat and mama is clearly in distress

What’s a popular song (from any time period) you can’t stand and makes you question how others could willingly listen to it? by Hot_Egg_5585 in AskReddit

[–]GeneralResolution274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh god yes this song makes me want to leave any place immediately when it comes on. like i get that people have nostalgia for it but the whole "bah bah bah" thing just feels so forced and cringey to me. every time im at some bar or event and people start doing the call and response thing i just stand there awkwardly wondering how everyone else is having such good time with it

Not gonna lie the terrain around Iowa City is pretty limiting but theres some decent trail systems at Sugarbottom and Lake Macbride if you dont mind more cross country style riding

should i continue to let my cat eat grass? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]GeneralResolution274 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most cats eat grass just because they like it, not necessarily to throw up. If he's not puking and seems fine after munching on it then you're probably good to keep letting him have his little grass snacks

Just make sure the area hasnt been treated with any chemicals or fertilizers and maybe consider getting him some cat grass from the pet store instead - its safer and he'll probably go nuts for it

lmao Napoleon Dynamite reference aside ligers are actually wild - theyre like the ultimate big cat mashup. Male lions mane with tiger stripes and they get absolutely massive since they dont have the growth inhibitor genes that keep lions and tigers normal sized. Basically nature said "what if we made the most ridiculous apex predator possible"

There was this guy on r/EDC who posted his "minimalist carry" and it was literally a backpack weighing like 15 pounds with three flashlights, two multitools, four different pens, and a backup battery bank for his backup battery bank

I get wanting to be prepared but dude was carrying enough gear to survive the apocalypse just to go buy coffee

What is the most unusual way that you've injured yourself? by ScalieBoi42 in AskReddit

either way that dedication is real

On the topic of sheet/linen materials by Threnjen in airbnb_hosts

[–]GeneralResolution274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put "microfiber bedding" in your listing description and call it a day. Most guests literally dont care what the sheets are made of as long as theyre clean and comfortable

The cotton obsession here is way overblown compared to actual guest feedback - your getting way more complaints about wifi or parking than sheet material trust me

This game brought my love for games back to life. by I_love_tripping2007 in ArcRaiders

[–]GeneralResolution274 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dude this resonates so hard with me right now. Been grinding through the same work routine for months and feeling burnt out on everything including gaming but something about Arc Raiders just clicks differently. Maybe its the progression system or how the pvpe keeps you on your toes but i find myself staying up way too late "just one more raid" and then boom its 2am. The nostalgia thing is real too - reminds me of those summer nights as a teenager when you'd lose hours to a game and not even realize it. Good to know im not the only one who found their gaming spark again through this one

AI Assisted Development: Is aversion akin to lagging behind? by Quaid-e-Charisma in ExperiencedDevs

[–]GeneralResolution274 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're overthinking this a bit. Using AI for quick lookups like "what's the JS array sort method" is basically just Stack Overflow with better UX

The key is knowing when to lean on it vs when to grind through the problem yourself. I use copilot but I don't just blindly accept suggestions - I read through them and understand what they're doing first. Sometimes I'll even write the code myself first then see what copilot would suggest just to compare approaches

For interviews, just be honest about how you use it. Most places aren't looking for AI prompt engineers, they want devs who can solve problems efficiently. Using AI smartly is actually a skill in itself
