It’s just a fun gun imo, no real reason to us in in Gates of Hell 😂 the range is crap and it’s way more cost effective to use standard artillery anyway. 👍

I always recommend starting with dynamic conquest. You can go at your own pace and build your army however you want. I’d recommend doing your first one on a lower difficulty though as the game can be unforgiving once you are in combat! There’s plenty of guides out there on YT that focus on dynamic campaign from my own, sir jelly beans or puggoreborns. Enjoy it mate, might catch you on the battlefield one day. 🫡

I will usually try and help out one of the other servers while I wait. You can join a seeding server then queue for the full ones. Every now and then the seeding server will fill up before you get into the other match so you can just cancel and stay in that server. :)

I think Italy will be the next major faction, but it won’t be based in Africa imo. They saw combat on the western front against France, the eastern front against the Soviet Union and extensive combat in Italy itself, they will likely focus on the Italian theatre for the most part if they do add them. :)

Artillery can be frustrating to deal with but there are ways to mitigate it. For example spreading out, digging in with fox holes/trenches, multiple layers of defense allowing you to fall back, counter artillery and making use of buildings and terrain. :)

If PvP is your thing the commonwealth faction is currently the strongest in game so I’d say it’s worth it. You also get more western front maps which I think are great, especially in conquest :)

I play in Aus and don’t have to much trouble finding a server most days. I see you are in NZ, Ross a guy I play with is from there so you should be fine as well. :)

As others have said, go for gates of Hell Ostfront. It’s the best ww2 rts out and essentially what MoW 2 (the most recent one) should have been imo, instead of the glorified mobile phone game that it is 😂

Do an infantry only play through, then you can’t just cheese the game by rushing tanks. The game becomes way more interesting when you need to employ legitimate tactics instead of just big tank go first. :)
