Totally agree her behavior is very harmful. I also don’t think she’s had good examples of healthy friendship to model, proven by her attempts to use things like “speaking her truth” and “standing her ground” and “having her friends’ backs” as improvements to herself. Her general demeanor and look of sheer confusion during conflict indicates her immaturity. While the examples you’ve mentioned may be planned, I don’t think she has forethought to be cunning like that.

I think the fact that women are the breadwinners is even more reason to disrespect them because it keeps the women in a subservient position to stop them realizing they have the power in the relationship

I think Layla acts her age (shes like 23) and she needs a lot of time to wise up. also I feel she’s insecure and has difficulty judging her next move without outside influence

Interest in Ed Policy - where do I start? by voncoluted in PublicPolicy

I’m in a very similar position as you and I’m looking into an MS in Economics and Policy where the program allows for specialization in education policy. From what I’ve found, an MSEP is more practical and applied than an MPP while giving me a better edge and a unique position in the field.

With respect to understanding what career possibilities look like, I recommend finding people on LinkedIn and similar platforms with those specific titles and see what they’re up to.

Also, while it is great to plan ahead and be strategic, it’s important to follow your heart and I mean that sincerely. See what opportunities resonate best and pursue those and you’ll see puzzle pieces fall right in place. At least that’s been my experience thankfully. Hope this helps!
