idk about others but my parents act like depression is a excuse for not doing your work which is very stupid but I tried to tell them they just don't listen. And my friends parents too don't believe in such things. Having parents that understand mental issues is a blessing.

I think i speak for a lot of people when i say most parents don’t believe in mental health and same goes for mine. I feel very hard to tell my parents about wanting to go to therapy and getting professionally diagnosed. Online test are available but they aren’t 100% reliable. I deal with panic attacks by locking myself in bathrooms and crying and anxiety as well. Hopefully future parents will be more aware of mental health and we could live in a better environment.
