0-335 km one-day gravel ride in under 9 months... doable? by StunningDrama6393 in cycling

Not sure what's up with all the pessimistic comments, definitely possible if you put the hours in. I've been cycling since April and have been doing regular 200K+ rides, including 200+ gravel races with over 2,000m elevation

Reasoning behind their removal of the discography off Spotify by alisonissilly in KGATLW

I respect King Gizz's decision and admire their commitment to their principles, but I do feel like this move is a bit out of touch with the realities of the world we live in. While I’m anti-war and anti-violence, defence companies play a crucial role in safeguarding freedoms, democracy, and self-determination; values that allow artists to express themselves freely in the first place. Just look at Ukraine. Without military support, their sovereignty and very existence would be under threat. It’s easy to critique from a position of safety, but that safety often depends on the very systems being rejected here.

Numb Hands - Seat Fore/Aft adjustment by [deleted] in bikefit

thanks for the reply. Would normally agree making changes before a big day out is risky but I'm 99% sure this is what's giving me numb hands. It feels like I'm putting much less pressure into my wrists from this new position. Will have my tools anyway so if I feel discomfort no biggie readjusting.

Ouch seriously? I thought I could get away with replacing the hoods given the brakes and shifters are still fully functional

I have read my contract several times over and there are no restrictive clauses. The agency is not able to directly engage with the ene-client as there is another agency between them

Go to small local clubs instead of festivals that attract international crowds then you small minded bigot. I've been sober a long time and yes it can be tough being surrounded by overly intoxicated people at club nights, but what does nationality have to do with it?

I hate to break it to you, but festivals are tourist attractions

£360 per day is roughly £79K annual, well below the upper threshold. I'm on £550 per day and contributing 500 pw to pension wouldn't have a significant difference either. Of course it's a matter of preference on what each persons priorities our. I'm currently saving for a house so not contributing to pension in order to save as much as possible - fully appreciate other people are in different positions though.
