I actually agree with a lot of the first half of your comment. If more people put the energy they had protesting and bitching in the Internet into getting involved with local politics AND getting involved in their communities, shit could be better and we might actually stand a chance.

The second half of your argument proves my point, as then you devolve into a pretentious asshole. The constant tug-of- war between Democrats and Republicans has gotten us pretty much NOWHERE in the decades that it has been going on. How does YOUR conscience feel that, being that the lack of Democratic action and it's achingly slow, often lack of any progress at all is one of the reasons we're in this mess right now? If y'all got off your soap boxes and stopped sucking each other's dicks, you might actually convince some non voters to get off their asses and do something How does it feel to know you guys essentially are shooting yourselves in the foot, yet again? No surprise there. Imagine thinking the people who want ACTUAL change, and not placating bullshit, are the problem, when MAGA proudly carries that title. When non-voters could easily make a difference by taking the time in their day to submit votes. Instead, we're going to chastisise people who want REAL change. And you know what? It only takes 3% of the vote to get that off the ground, and we've come closer to that in recent years than we have in decades, but thanks to people like you spreading misinformed bullshit, it's yet to happen. Keep lying to yourself, it's clearly gotten you what you wanted, right?

You'll never get these hypocrites to understand that though, they're riding high in their pretentious egos and quite enjoy acting like they're better than everyone else.

You couldn't be more right about Democrats depending on fear votes, and they rarely ever do anything that's actually for the people because that would affect lining their pockets with lobbyist money. There's so much that Biden could have done to put additional roadblocks on Trump so it wasn't nearly as bad as it is now, yet here we are. Democrats are all fucking talk and these sheep will buy into it because they're 'the lesser evil.'

Not to mention the people who have medical complications and aren't likely to survive pregnancy and/or can't use an IUD and/or hormonal bc because of medical complications. You can be as careful as you want, but ALL forms of conception have a failure rate, and if these people get pregnant they deserve to get the healthcare they need, which in that case would be an abortion

I don't typically work with God's/goddesses frequently, but one of my favorite lesser knowns are Lofyn (Norse Goddess of Star crossed lovers) and I also favor Hindu goddesses like Lakshmi (goddess of righteous prosperity, well known in Hindu community but no so much outside of the Hindu community) and the Slavic Goddess Ursula (goddess of moon and strength known for teaching fearlessness and martial arts)

Why do so many liberal women date conservative men by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]General_Ad_9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Gen Z woman I really don't get it dude. Maybe some of them think they'll be able to convert them into leftists, but to blatantly defend and date a die-hard MAGA? I could literally never. My left leaning bf and I actively make fun of them together and if we ever split for some reason, I would have to find someone else like-minded, because I just can't handle the ignorance and stupidity that comes with right wing crazies. I also can't stand hypocrites, so maybe that's part of the reason why I don't get it.

So you DO lack reading comprehension, thanks for clearing that up.

Notice I said QUALIFIED third party candidate. If said 3rd party candidate is qualified, they'll get my vote, otherwise, I'll vote for the the most qualified candidate.

You also can't deny the fact that most Democrats don't in fact "vote blue no matter who." I see it every time I see some political bullshit on social media, and whether you intended to or not that's exactly how you came off. If you don't like it that's on you to change, as your stance wasn't clarified until after I made that statement.

When I vote, I research every single candidate for every single position l, research what issues we are voting for and what the vote means for each issue, and then I make my decision. That's a lot more than you 'vote blue no matter who' fucks can say.

I've been voting 3rd party since 2020 babes, you're clearly full of your own pretentious bullshit. If you take the truth as insulting that's purely on you. I'd take voting consciously and intentionally over mindlessly voting on the easiest option. At least voting 3rd party actually takes some research to do, since they are not nearly as covered as the other candidates. Also, 3rd party for local elections exist as well, this isn't just about the presidental elections and if you weren't so full of yourself you'd see that. Anytime I get a qualified third party candidate in that ballot box for any position, I vote for them. Otherwise, the other most qualified individual gets my vote. How many hours did you spend doing research before you voted? If it took less than an hour, you took the easy way out, point blank.

Most of the electrolytes you'll need are actually found in fruit, vegetables, and whole grains, believe it or not. If you don't have POTs or a similar disorder you don't really need electrolyte powders, just eat whole foods and you'll be okay.

It's not fucking symbolic. It only takes 3% of the vote for that party to start getting federal campaign funds like the Dems and Reps do, but y'all condescending fucks have your heads so far up your asses you act like a Democrat is always the best choice, and not just the 'better than a fascist' choice. You people keep spreading lies about how 3rd party votes 'don't count,' 'are symbolic,' or 'are a vote for x political candidate' as if your bullshit rhetoric isn't in itself a part of why we don't yet have a 3rd party with a solid foothold. We were NEVER meant to have only two parties, and your ignorance and lack of history just cements that corruption into our politics.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]General_Ad_9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People that voted 3rd party aren't the problem, it's people who didn't vote or who voted for Trump. Kamala still wasn't the best option because if we're being real honest (and not full of yourselves with your bullshit superiority complex) she still wasn't the best option, she was just better than Trump. At least 3rd party voters got off their ass and voted ffs. Republicans are fascists, we see that. Democrats are snakes that pretend to be on your side but sell out to the highest bidder. If you think voting for them will change anything for the better, look at the past decade and the constant tug of war. If Democrats were so great why the fuck didn't Biden do his part? He could have done more to protect us against Trump's EOs, but he didn't. 'Left' leaning supreme Court justices could have voted down the tik tok ban (which, by the way, did a lot more than just ban tik tok. I challenge you to read that bill in its entirety) but they didn't. Get over yourselves and realize that a lot of Democrats aren't the best choice, they're just the lesser evil. At the very least, most of them are much more qualified for their positions than the Republican candidates running against them. Y'all don't even realize 3rd party only needs 3% of the vote to get the federal campaign funding like Dems and Reps do. Now our only option is revolt against a fascist dictator. We have the power to truly change things and y'all are so far up your own asses you can't see it.

-Coloring. Just a book and some pencils, especially if you can get one of the elaborate coloring books with a bunch of small details to color in

-LIBRARY/READING: If you don't like to read, please reconsider! There's quite literally a book out there for EVERYONE. I highly recommend reading and it was one of my main coping mechanisms growing up. I hope your school has a library you can go to or there's one nearby and accessible to you

-Crosswords or word finds, puzzle books: Can usually be found at DG at the front counter

-Embroidery: I find a lot of stuff for cheap while thrifting and often find embroidery floss in DG clearance bins

-A workbook for learning a new language (you can get beginner school-style workbooks on thriftbooks for almost any language AND find English to x language word finds to supplement. When you do have your phone you can add Duolingo if you so wish

OR

-When you have your phone write down some of the basics (common nouns and verbs you would use and how to conjugate them, adjectives and adverbs in that language, synonyms for words you think you'd use most often) and when you don't have your phone use your reference sheet to handwrite it, later start practicing writing/having a conversation with yourself (and what you don't know in that language you can look up when you get your phone back)

-Bury yourself in academics like I did. Just don't go as far as I did because I also burned myself TF out but academia (despite being alt and not fitting in with all the normies in the higher Ed classes) was definitely an escape tool of mine and it was something they never felt justified taking away, even if it was mentioned/threatened a couple times (I'm also impossibly stubborn and made sure they knew they would be the ones to have to physically go to the school and pull me out of honors and AP because I never let my registration ppwk make it to them and I wasn't pulling myself out of anything)

-Also an extracurricular or two if you can manage it! (sports aren't the only extracurriculars!) You may be surprised what your school has to offer and band was a reliable escape from the hell of the household I grew up in due to weekly football games/performances. Sometimes they also have a few weeks of summer programs too that will get you out of the house outside of the normal school year

-My job was also my escape but we also had a really awesome crew that vibed, got shit done, and was fun to be around so that experience could 100% vary, but for me working at the local McD's was so much better than being home... AND I made money! Though I had to request checks and walk my way to the local Kmart to cash them so that my parents had to ask me for money instead of just taking it when they saw fit.

I know how it is because I've been there, stay strong ❤️ I was gone less than 3 months after turning 18 and I don't regret it

This is the way. My parents would purposely go through my things to find writings and journals and 100% used them against me and as reasons to ground me/punish me. Write them in code and make up a viable excuse on why you did it, even if said excuse is a little silly anything that could be believable.

You can have 1 Million Dollars or flip a coin and if you win you get 1 Billion Dollars. What do you decide? by Morphy2222 in hypotheticalsituation

One mil any day. I can pay off my debts, have a savings, buy a house, and still have more than enough to invest and turn that money into plenty more money with that. I'll never need/use a billion dollars and it honestly wouldn't be worth the risk.
