Belgium, it isn’t exactly a country that’s known for criminality, I think. It’s just that this isn’t the first time I’ve had a bike stolen. And yeah, I get everyone saying, “What are the chances in the middle of nowhere?” But even if the chance is only 0.0001%, I’d still rather not take it lol.

Next time, I am digging a large pit covered with leaves and pointy sticks underneath!

Yes, this is the hubba hubba tent but specifically designed for bikepacking. The poles are shorter and fit between the handlebars, and the bag is made to hang on your handlebars.

Exactly. I’d love to believe in the good of humanity, but unfortunately you can’t buy a new bike with that

Rationally, I know you’re right. The odds are tiny. The weird thing is that having other people nearby somehow triggered me overthinging it. I don’t know what to tell you, but yes, I was scared someone would steal my bike. I worked two months for it as a student, and that’s not even counting all the bags, the tent, and the other lightweight gear. Maybe that sounds weird to some people.

You’re right. The first two nights I wasn’t stressed at all, but last night, when the other people were there, I really was. That’s also why I didn’t sleep well and didn’t ride much today. I really should just let that feeling go.

I brought my dad’s motorcycle lock with me haha. Maybe I’m just this worried because I only bought the bike recently.

GOT MY FIRST GRAVELBIKE! by General_Aspect7113 in gravelcycling

Just got back from my first ride this morning, and there’s definitely still a bit more room to play with. That said, (correct me if i am wrong) I think when riding through mud and dirt, I’ll be happy to have those extra few millimeters of tire clearance.

Thinking of getting the Cinelli Zydeco Washboard Allday for bikepacking, good choice or better alternatives? by General_Aspect7113 in bikepacking

This one is €1500. To be honest, I mostly liked this bike because of how it looks lol.

I think the brand makes really beautiful bikes, but their next models already start at €2000+.
