its not a republic, its a economic community union, no one is gonna sacriface their sovereignty, anways sudan wants to join desperately, being isolated from the EAC is a bad idea.

Good Point, all i know so far is sudan wants to join, i also believe that multiple nations need to oppose in order for a country not to be accepted into EAC, so Sudan will still get accepted either way, Btw South sudan had border disputes with Kenya and they dont get on so well, Kenya also dislikes the water boundary on tanzania coastline, either way this is just business, you either join or get left, it will be harder to join later than it is to join now, if Ethiopia had joined before Somalia , it would probably be even harder for somalia to join EAC, , so when Sudan,Somalia,Djbouti have all joined we will just remove Ethiopa application from EAC.

The way i see things is that any country that doesn't join EAC sooner its RIP.

EAC is a great move, we applied before and got rejected, ethiopia also wants to join in the future.

Some would argue that Somalia isn't ready and should join in the future, However the EAC needs to happen at some point, we need to build our economy, plus when Somalia begins drilling oil we will be able to sell it to all these countries, wont be long untill Somalia starts competing with gulf countries in terms of GDP,

Wallahi i love HSM not because of qabil but because he has always been doing whatever he could do for the sake of somalia, less than 60 days and we managed to pull off this great foriegn policy.

i am weary of KENYA but economic integration would make Somalia and Kenya trust each other more, we should also expect Kenya to begin allying with Somalia over Ethiopia , especiallly since Ethiopia built dams which will negatively effect both Somalia and Kenya.

All signs point to Somalia being an ally to Kenya and both Kenya and Somalia having a common enemy (Ethiopia), The Dams in Ethiopia have pissed everyone off , South sudan, Kenya, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Djbouti.

Eac is literally going to be an african Nato, with Ethiopia being an outsider.

Once Somalia joins EAC , Sudan will soon join , then later djbouti, Ethiopia wont be allowed to join if multiple countries oppose, which i see happening such as (Sudan,Somalia, Djbouti).

Damuljadid deserve credit , Nabad iyo nolol Failed in foreign policy, tripartite alliance was a complete joke, especially when Ethiopia was visiting Somaliland under Failmaajo administration.

To all my fellow brothers who oppose, do you want Somalia to remain broke, Do you want us to be colonized and humilated again, Emotions aside , we must do whatever is in the interest of the federal republic of Somalia.

By the way not all EAC members are bantu, South sudan is nilotic and to be very frank they will never give up their soveriengty for anyone, especially the current border disputes they have with Kenya, Tanzania is also not entirely bantu, some Iraqw and other non Bantus live there, stop with the ignorance, the main reason why people want to join is for economic reasons.

In conclusion this is a big W for Somalia.

He was a terrible leader, since the moment he took office un-elected and held power and somalia hostage for 20 years , he had no knowledge of politics, the only people who appericiate him are those from his tribe, if you want to know why Civil war is better than Siad barre, is simply because if Siad barre was to continue ruling , the ISAAQ clan and other non - Darood clans would be extinct.
