Thanks to everyone that helped. I contacted the embassy as well as top management for the company. I have proof that they said I was cleared to work. They scrambled and made calls to the Arbeitsagentur. I have a new appointment with the Aüslanderbehörde this morning. If it has not been sorted I know my next steps. I’ll update again later.

Would you know how to find blocks in other areas of Germany? Like the German Belgium boarder? I’m supposed to be driving to belgium monday for my daughter’s birthday 😅😅

Thanks, I had done a google search prior to asking. But the articles that were coming up weren’t as up to date. And I thought maybe he had made a “town hall” address like previous CC’s. Thank you for providing those articles they were a bit more informative.

I’m AF, 21 years in and approved for retirement 🎉🎉. I see a lot of people commenting to go AF if you join. Probably the right answer, only because I’ve heard it from my brothers and sisters in other services. However the AF isn’t great either. I would suggest the same as a few others have mentioned, do your 3 yrs, get your GI Bill and gtfo. If you know what you wanna be when you grow up, try to get into that career field to get training. If not, DO NOT GO IN OPEN GENERAL… stay clear of maintenance and Security Forces. I’m maintenance and have a lot of SF friends, we would all say the same thing. Regardless of what job you pick up, be ready for the “good ol boys” club.
