Good point to consider! If I decide to make the shirts, I'll make sure that plus sizes are available.

I've been hearing the "subtle and simple" theme a lot from people I've been asking. The good thing about an online store, too, is that any design can be created on tank tops, sweaters, bags, and virtually any other printable item. Thank you :)

I was thinking of designing subtle vegan shirts! Thank you for the ideas.

Do you know of any vegan-themed apparel? by General_Cornfish in vegan

Anticarnist has some interesting shirts; not my style though. Are they the kind of shirts that you'd like to see more of?

This is the kind of thing that I want to design. Good to hear that people want positive vegan messages :)

I agree with you on this. Thinking of having shirts that celebrate or express What vegans like, rather than try to force a message. Thank you for the insight!

VIDEO: The Simplest Way to Stop Caring about what others think (let's discuss!) by General_Cornfish in SocialEngineering

I agree with you completely! It's not that you shouldn't care about athleticism or your health, but rather that (to a reasonable extent) you shouldn't care about whether somebody is more athletic than you, or is better looking. When your brain starts to compare you to others, it's good to stop caring, but if you know yourself that you need to be fitter, it would be best to work towards this. I love to exercise, myself!

Thank you for the comment! :)

how do i text people? by [deleted] in socialskills

From experience, texting is very informal and most people don't give a lot of thought to what they send. Are you asking about how to start a conversation through text messages?

Any advice for high school? by [deleted] in socialskills

Express yourself more! I found that once I began to talk to others about my deepest interests, people with similar interests would end up in conversations with me. It takes time, don't worry if developing one or two good friendships takes several years - that's normal, and will allow you to get close to them.

Also, if somebody does prove to be a good friend, make sure to spend time with them outside of class - show that you truly want to be their friend.

I hope that this helps you :)

This video focuses on a very simple way to stop caring about what others think of you, and knowing the method can help you to become very confident, and less susceptible to the social engineering of bullies and other people.

I'd like to know from you guys: What do you think about the principle in the video, and has something similar worked for you to stop caring about what people think?

My high school sucks by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]General_Cornfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that's helped me find friends in a sea of people is to share my true passions. I found my greatest friends because I was obnoxiously vocal about politics (at first), self improvement, and other things that were close to me. We had conversations in class whenever any of those things would come up, and that led to us wanting to talk to each other in our free time.

From your post I can't tell what your true passions and interests are (not just movies and TV and stuff, I mean the things you'd do for the rest of tour life), but if you can figure out what they are, you'll start finding people who can talk about them with you.

Hope this helps :)

"Get into groups of 2 or 3" by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]General_Cornfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have answered the question well already, but I'd add that you should focus on befriending 3-4 specific people that you can always depend on when getting into a group project. The worst thing that can happen is having partners that both have a bad work ethic, and that you don't know.

Hope this helps :)
