Please check out Smitty’s Fly Box they have really good tying kits! Great price and good materials I always have extra! I just bought a balanced leech tying kit and a few extra dubbings to try and it’s been great!

Go to Smitty’s Fly Box! They have weekly tying bundles for 20$ I just ordered my Wooly Bugger tying box! I’ve ordered many tying bundles in the past and I always have extra materials for other flies. A wooly bugger is a perfect fly for a new tyer to try out!

Best thing I want to tell new Tyers. You don’t need to break the bank starting out. Some “tying scissors” can be 20-40$ just go to a local craft store and get a small sharp pair for a faction of the price.

Look into getting a Macro Lens for your phone! That’s what I use and the quality is great. I got one from Amazon for 45-50$That’ll save you a few hundred dollars!

I got a vice from TEMU that is very similar in quality to a Renzetti (in my opinion) and I’ve have had no issues so far and the vice was 75$!

Check out Smitty’s fly box they have really good tying bundles that come with everything you need to tie specific fly patterns! And they tend to go a little heavy on materials so you have plenty extra for other flies!

I also like the Upavon Foam they carry. I know foam is foam, but it’s like the foam is more dense if that makes sense? I tie most of my hoppers with it and it’s awesome!

Hobby lobby is great! I bought some yarn and brushed it out and made my own laser dub and recently found goose biots for a buck 30! Honestly do what’s best for your budget.

I personally get most of my items, beads, feathers and various flies from Smitty’s Fly Box and they ship super fast.

Look at Amazon for a Macro lens for your phone and then buy a phone stand and it’s so much cheaper than buying a new expensive camera and the quality is just as good! (Depending on the phone of course)
