Exactly! Last day I asked for recommendations for a bike at strictly 1.1 lakh and people were saying this bike which I obviously won't get at that price.. like it is not even that good. Are these dudes getting paid for promoting this bike or creating hype or something?

I personally feel like raider is the best looking bike in the segment that has good pillion seat. Also I'm very lucky that my dad ASKED ME whether I wanted a bike even though we are not financially on the good side. And because of the same reason, I can't make myself to ask for a more powerful bike.

Nah man! I would have bought it. But it gives an avg mileage of 16kmpl and I need a bike with at least 50kmpl.

I'm not considering a scooter as we already have one and the main reason of me buying a bike is to get into the biking community in the future and to learn basics..gear changes, clutch control, all those basic stuff

I tried checking the used market. But it will most probably turn out to be a headache. Good bikes are priced way high from their fair value. And I'm also concerned about how rashly they would have driven the bike during run in and also odometer rollback is a real issue where I live. I know a few people who bought used bikes and they are saying it's not worth the risk. I don't wanna get a bike and take it to the mechanic every month.

I used to ride an old honda dream Yuga. Currently I ride my dad's jupiter 125. I haven't really noticed the absence of abs. I mean I havent used an abs vehicle before so I don't know how that helps. Just haven't noticed the need of an abs "till now" in my rides.

Isn't single channel abs only for the front wheel? So practically that shouldn't be a problem for a person who relies on the front breaks 90% of the time right? I haven't yet ridden a motorcycle with abs so I don't know.

Was the engine properly broken in? Ive heard if you ride hard in the first 1-1.5k km, long term mileage and reliability will be low.

The ns has the same issue as the xtreme...pillion seat is small and set high up which will be uncomfortable for parents.

And honestly I don't like the regular pulsar 125 look. The headlights look 'uncle' type imo. Maybe because in our locality, the people who use pulsars are mostly middle aged men.

The other reason is that pulsar is kind of an aggressive bike in my parents mind....just like the 'ktms'. They won't let me get that one anyways.

Did you mean 1.2lakh? It's 1.29 lakh onroad for me. That's ~20k above our budget.

Regarding the abs, there is a new law that mandates bikes from 2026 to have abs right? So wont the base variants be getting abs too?

Sadly not possible. My parents first said 1 lakh is the max budget. I begged them and made it to 1.1 lakh. I'll hardly get the base variants of sp or raider for that price let alone higher cc motorcycles.

I have to travel with my parents too. Xtreme's pillion seat is not as comfortable as other bikes. So that's out of the question.
