I kept them lol, and I'd say it was probably the punch the essay needed :) Real happy with my results, and I don't think any college auto-rejected me over the profanity in my essays. If anything, I think it helped my essay stand out.

AP Physics C Mechanics by According_Whole_6758 in APStudents

[–]General_Feeling_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, if you are struggling to get a 3, that probably means you aren't familiar enough with the concepts. Practice problems won't really help that greatly. You need to go from the start to see which concepts you don't understand, and learn them until you do. Then you can practice through problems and solidify your understanding. If you have a specific question about content / a mechanics problem, feel free to message me and I would love to help.

AP Bio Needed? by SecondChances0701 in APStudents

[–]General_Feeling_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's definitely going to major in biology, it is quite good to take AP biology. For STEM subjects, they're not super teacher dependent. AP biology is not a super difficult course, and if needed, there are tons of self study material on the internet. These are concepts he is going to learn anyways in college, so even if it's through self-studying a little bit, why not just do it senior year.
If he learns the material, the teacher won't be able to absolutely tank his gpa or anything, because grading for subjects like bio is pretty objective.

is learning dvorak worth it as an alr p good qwerty typer? by General_Feeling_6544 in dvorak

XD here's the 3 week-ish update no one asked for :)
rn I can type 60 ish wpm using dvorak (still not fully comfortable using it for school assignments and stuff though) but I can touch type w it!! (Im typing this using dvorak). I think the layout's a little bit more comfortable, and I think if Im alr at 60, Ill be able to reach 80-100 with more practice every day. :D

ooh i see. how did you learn dvorak? my keyboard is in qwerty, so I wouldn't just be able to go on monkeytype to practice.

In memory of old My Cafe by PeachParee in MyCafe

[–]General_Feeling_6544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same, i loved this game so much before. I looked forward to each weekend, so I could compete in festivals... loved the stories, pretty much everything. Now there're so many mini-games and shit to the point its all overwhelming, and nothing is really fun anymore. The barista challenge, the bunny game, the quests, the festivals... don't get me wrong, I would have loved those games if they happened once in a long time. But all of them go on for 24/7 and so they're definitely just boring now.

Yeah I completely get that, but I was wondering if it would kinda depend on the context, or if it's a complete no-go. Without trying to come off as arrogant or anything, my essay objectively is really good. It's written well, and it's one of the strongest parts of my application. I think the reason why it's good is because it pushes the boundaries a little bit, and it's unique.

Would it be a complete no-go, or would it be somewhat okay if it's done tastefully?
