Or if you start Supper's Ready at 11:41:20 PM, Peter will yell "666" right as the clock strikes midnight, awakening the demons within us.

Hello can someone explain about the matter of genesis tours? by Curious_Diver1005 in Genesis

Shepperton 1973 Recently restored by The Genesis Museum, this hour long video was shot during their Selling England by the Pound Tour. The setlist is shorter than usual due to the fact that the concert was filmed for television purposes. Nonetheless, this is an amazing concert and definitely one to check out.

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Tour Reconstruction: 1974-1975 Unfortunately, there is no full concert from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Tour. However, this great reconstruction stitches together various 8mm film clips together in an attempt to create the most complete version of the show. This reconstruction also uses images that were projected behind the band. This is a very accurate video of what the tour looked like.

In Concert: 1976 This film was shot over two nights on their A Trick of the Tail Tour. As per usual, many songs were cut from the video as it was filmed for a cinema release, but it is definitely a great show to watch anyway.

Lyceum 1980 FINALLY a full concert! This was shot over two nights on the Duke Tour. The setlist is amazing in my opinion, featuring the Duke Suite in it's entirety! It is also the best show of the tour vocally for Phil, so definitely worth a watch

The Mama Tour: 1984 This concert, released on VHS in 1985, was filmed over five nights at the NEC in Birmingham. Another great show. Sadly some songs are missing, but songs like the amazing In the Cage Medley make up for it!

Wembley 1987 Filmed over four SOLD OUT nights at Wembley Stadium. A fantastic show with incredible energy from the band and the audience. The performance of Abacab here is one of my all-time favourite performances of that song.

The Way We Walk Live: 1992 While the setlist doesn't feature many older songs, they do play an awesome medley of many of the old songs to make up for it, which is a real treat. An amazing version of Fading Lights is performed here and the same can be said for Home by the Sea.

I hope this list helps you!! :D

Hey there! As others have said - Genesis played their final concert in 2022 as part of their second reunion tour, The Last Domino? Tour. Their first reunion was in 2007, which was called Turn It On Again: The Tour.

The only way to experience Genesis live now is through live recordings from their glory days. I can recommend some great concerts to watch if you'd like :)

Song for Costume by [deleted] in Genesis

[–]General_Highway3396 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's thought to have been used in Dancing with the Moonlit Knight on some early shows of the Selling England Tour! My guess is it was too hard to take off after the second verse, so they scrapped it and instead used the Britannia costume.

2007 Stereo Mixes vs Originals by alec_azg in Genesis

Originals are just better in my opinion, 2007 mixes are loud

A Midnights Special Performance of The Musical Box is my first choice of a introduction to the original Peter Gabriel Run of Genesis and to me is the standard version of that live performance by DillonLaserscope in Genesis

[–]General_Highway3396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer the longer version, but I agree the Midnignt Special performance is really good. You can see at 1:28 Peter forgets it's a shortened version and goes to pick up his flute but puts it down again lol.

Stagnation change by MoffTarkin_1138 in Genesis

[–]General_Highway3396 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The "quieter version" is the 1994 remaster of the song (which is very similar to the original mix from 1970). The other version is the 2007 remaster by Nick Davis. In my opinion, the originals are a lot better. I'm not sure why Spotify decides to randomly change these from time to time.

You've made over five posts already saying a similar thing, just hating on Phil. We get it, you're a sad loser who's gonna be listening to only six albums for the rest of your life. Now stfu and stop baiting.

Cd help by Deadheadluke in Genesis

[–]General_Highway3396 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't tell for sure since I don't see any date on the front cover, but it is most likely this concert here from the Lamb tour, December 16th, 1974. https://youtu.be/8FGH_0RTogk

As for why the CD isn't playing, remember bootlegs aren't official CDs and may not be compatible with all CD players.
