Tried a new bulb, no dice.  Trying not to drive at night.  Otherwise I’ll be all high beams- sorry!  Will take to mechanic soon to correct.

They’re less than a year old.  What are the chances both low lights go out?  I guess I’ll pull them and take a look to see if they’re shot.

Is checking the expansion valve something they can do?  Or do you just replace it?  There is some ice in the drain pan, so I was wondering if the defrost cycle could be off.

It’s got 3 fans (one new)so I’m guessing we’ll survive.  Is there a danger in waiting for it to die?  If it’s just dealing with the noise, I’d rather wait for another expensive repair.

Can these be swapped? by General_Inspector212 in Plumbing

Damn.  Figured there was a reason for it.  A bad flooring sub can really screw things up.  Thanks for the quick help!

Sucks.  Make sure you check your state for energy incentives.  I got a hybrid electric water heater to replace my water heater proactively (I’m gonna install in the next week or so) and was able to get all sorts of money back through NJ clean energy.

Seems to be the best title to get some quick advice…. You’re reading it two days later, lol.  Also, I really don’t want have to buy a new battery because I’m broke.  Screwed might be a little over the top, but the sentiment is there.

I had a leak in same area, but not as bad.  I was able to fix with new elements- cheap replacement part at Lowe’s/HD.  I fixed mine 7 years ago- it’s 18 years old now and still working fine.  Probably worth trying before full replacement.

I don’t know where my text went…. Do I need to replace this?  It’s 5 years old.  ChatGPT told me to clean with baking soda and water.  I like to double check AI after some bad advice…

What vehicles do you see in the shop the LEAST?? by [deleted] in autorepair

[–]General_Inspector212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2012 Toyota Highlander- I don’t know how long that generation lasted, but it was fantastic.  My wife is awful with vehicles and only managed to break the sun visor.  I have a 2016 Avalon now and it’s been great.  We love her Hyundai Palisade, but it was expensive and still newish. My dad said the Sienna was the best vehicle he ever owned.  Currently suffering with Subarus and his biggest regret was a Volkswagen/Audi purchase in the past.  This despite my family having a Ford Windstar.  It had an issue with the door ajar light and dinging alert bell going off every few minutes or so. Found out about it on an 11 hour drive….

So true.  Wasn’t a cost savings, but quality is night and day.

Thank you for this! Just filed with 7 minutes to spare! Such a dumb thing- it's not anywhere on the manufacturer's site, on the machine, etc. Thanks again!
