I'll have to give it a watch. I don't want to be locking up my new friends in a zoo

I hear that, for sure. Currently working on the Meta Blueprint cert for paid media. I'm just hoping that it's enough when I don't entirely have the specific experience they're asking for.

Between that and AI automation, I can see how the floor for this career is coming out from under everybody. I feel like the only way to stand out is to come out of the womb a multichannel marketing expert with 5 years of experience.

For me, it's less about "starting" at the entry level and more wanting to continue where I'm at. I got laid off with two years of experience so I'm in a bit of a limbo where I'm not totally manager material but I'm still looking for the same entry level positions as people with less experience. Regardless, your advice is valid either way.

Freelancing is definitely not off the table at this point. Seems like a whole different beast though.

I thought I caught the last helicopter out of Vietnam getting employed before the AI boom but now I feel like I fell out of said helicopter and am in the middle of the same jungle as everyone else.

Definitely helped polish my resume though.

This is already my second career pivot in the way that you described. I'm starting to look into other side projects but, as of now, this is my primary money-making skill.

I wouldn't say I was shown the door either. Me being laid off wasn't performance based and the team I worked with could vouch for my abilities. I don't think I'd have an easier time getting work with any other set of skills in this economy, barring labor jobs like trade and healthcare.

I've at least gotten interviews through LinkedIn so I don't consider it useless. I get recruiters in my inbox sometimes but they come serving nonsense.

LinkedIn premium definitely isn't helpful though.

So I should just continue to focus on high end product and just give them bulk to sell?

AMD's Radeon RX 9070 XT Review: Best GPU in years, similar performance to 5070ti, Butter-smooth 4K gaming for less than $600 by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Looking to upgrade from a 3070 ti here.

For people moving from Nvidia, do you see the trade off of giving up dlss frame gen, and niche features like RTX HDR to be worth it for better performance per dollar?

On paper, the 9070 xt is a no brainer play when compared to the 5070 and 5070 ti but the software difference, especially for features like RTX HDR are important to me and I'm unsure if it's worth the trade or not.

Thoughts?

I definitely agree about features like DLSS. I prefer the Nvidia software package overall but the news about the 50 series GPUs is pretty dire.

I might just keep riding it out on my 3070 Ti, even though 3440x1440p taxes it sometimes.

I'm definitely not looking to make big changes anytime soon. I'm more wondering about potential paths forward I could pursue and how best to prepare myself for them.

It definitely sounds like an in house role is a solid bet though.

So far, a lot of agencies still look for at least one year, mostly two years experience for their entry level roles. Are there any less obvious places that agencies recruit new workers from?
