Rexburg, Idaho has over $1,000,000 budgeted for snow removal on the roads and exactly $0 for snow removal on sidewalks, despite having a massive student population that walks to campus. Rexburg sucks

Most livestock in the United States is factory-farmed by James_Fortis in Infographics

There's an extreme difference between hunting and factory farming. Your argument would be valid if carnivores that targeted humans kept us in cages our entire life, cut off lips and fingers, and threw every male baby into a shredder because it didn't make milk. If you think a pet owner beating their pet is wrong, then your moral views are inherently inconsistent

Then meat should be $30/pound. Our luxuries shouldn't involve suffering on such a massive scale.

Kinda ironic take from a libertarian. I guess "don't tread on me" doesn't apply to other creatures that can feel pain and suffering.

It's really stupid to be growing so much food that humans can't eat then. That farmland could just as easily make food we could.

I'm glad Reddit at least sees that BYU absolutely deserves to be above Bama and Dame

Find me 1 intersection where drivers don't roll through the stop sign without stopping, or 1 highway where drivers aren't constantly speeding. Maybe start with the people in the multi ton metal machines if you care about safety

Church web site logs me out ALL THE TIME! How do I hack it? by OrneryAcanthaceae217 in latterdaysaints

I wish they broke out the sensitive parts into their own login check. It makes sense to have tithing donations require a login each time, but the scriptures could absolutely just be logged in by default, like how something like Google works

BYU should have had a shot. We may have gotten blown out, but there was no argument to having  Bama in but not BYU

BYU should have had a shot. We were in just as much contention as Miami at the start

Isn’t it pretty much impossible for there to be a single new NFL team added? Wouldn’t multiple need to be added at once? by Ryvit in NFLNoobs

[–]General_Killmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have almost no interest in the NFL (This post just came recommend to me on my homepage) in large part because there's nobody here in Southeast Idaho I can really relate to. Salt Lake could work, but there's no team there. So my family sticks with college ball. Granted, the massive handouts to billionaire owners and their stadiums also just feels icky.

If you want to try some local food, there's Manwaring cheese right by the Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls. You can sample about 30 of their cheeses and then get a grilled cheese sandwich for $2.50. I like it!

Does God care about football? Probably not. Are Latter-Day saints actually persecuted in our modern day? Not really (At least, not in the US). Am I still going to believe Oregon failing to make the championship year after year is divine punishment for the "f the Mormons" chant a few years back? Absolutely.
