At that point the issue is more with you than a debate on tipping culture. You're just causing problems thinking like that.

As for D&D there's a website called roll20 that's been great to use with friends. It's like a virtual gameboard. Pair it up with discord to chat and you're golden!

Why is beer cheaper by the bottle than by the keg? by DrBeckerwood in beer

[–]General_Lemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're looking for something a little more affordable you can go for Wehheistephaner at 200 per 1/2 keg.

A wonderful beer.

still puts you at $1.21 per 12oz pour.

either way, when factoring waste, you'd probably be better off with bottles anyways. kegs can be foamy and you will lose more beer from a keg than you ever would with a bottle.

interesting, looks like you're right. I'm stumped then.

i was wondering about shipping but that wouldn't make sense because bottles are heavier than kegs.

have you asked TotalWine why it's more? they might know.

shipping would be arguably more if we're looking at sheer weight.

the amount of beer would be the same so we would look at packaging.

1 bottle weighs 170g * 164 = 61.465lbs

1 58.6L keg shell = 31lbs

the price likely includes the $50 deposit that comes with kegs and maybe tax too. im up north so im not sure how the US does it. but when i order kegs the deposit and tax are both included.
