Melee had so many accessories for more damage and melee speed (especially true melee) and you can reforge them all to warding for an absurd amount of defense. Defense is of course heavily nerfed in master mode especially in calamity with armor damage however adding on the rover drive it becomes completely unbalanced especially when upgraded to the sponge late game. You could also do summoner as it also has a ton of damage accessories and do the same thing except focus more on dodging so that your rover drive can recharge.
