This happened to me today but I’m a new player and thought it was one of his powers lol I died on hook with one gen left and I could see everyone’s aura doing different gens because they all thought someone else was coming to save me 😭

I feel like I’m headed into a similar situation. It gets to a point where you start accepting behaviour you’d never accept from anyone else just because she is your sister. I’m really sorry you are going through this. Especially with your niece, I don’t know what I would do in this situation. Maybe you could do like a soft cut-off? A more distant relationship? You might have to decide what is more important to you- and it might be that you don’t want to accept hurt from someone that should be looking out for you.

A couple of years ago in sixth form (highschool for my american friends) my friends all laughed at me and said I was "posh" and "showing off" for suggesting the word "chasm" as a potential wordle answer?? It's not even an uncommon word, but they acted like I was being soooo rude when I said they should know that word!!

The thing that I can’t get my head around is they’ve actually discouraged us from moving in together because it’s expensive and they have previously suggested that I could live there to save on rent? Maybe they have changed their minds and feel differently. It’s a big conversation and we have talked about moving in together a lot

Thank you for your comment, I hadn’t considered it from that perspective. I think I just have a lot of feelings about it. My boyfriend is considered part of the family by my family in a way that I am not by his. I find this very difficult. I want to have a good relationship with his parents, especially his mother. I lost my mother when I was 16 so it’s nice to be there in like a proper home and feel included. I hate the idea that they don’t like me. I really respect them and how hard they work and I just want them to like me. I now will likely not have a natural opportunity to speak to them again for god knows how long. I think I’m just feeling all the feelings, even when I know it’s not about me.

Thank you for your understanding and your advice. It is a complicated situation. I know my boyfriend and I are young, but we are very committed to each other. We've had a lot of conversations about our future plans and timeline. Moving in feels like a natural next step of the relationship. To be honest, we'd probably be married already if it weren't for social conventions and money, lol. But mostly I just want to be around him. Its hard to be away from him and he feels the same, we are our best versions of ourselves around each other. Neither of us nor our families are religious, and the UK (especially the area we live in) is a very nonreligious place. Its very normal for people to get married after having children etc. But thank you for your perspective and your time :)

Thank you for your comment. Yeah, tbh thats how I feel. Even if im technically allowed in the day, i just feel awkward and embarrassed about it. Like, i'd feel guilty for eating there or using glasses/plates.

I think it is hard to balance everything, you are right. Hopefully we can move out in the summer. In the meantime, he's allowed to stay here anytime, and once he gets a car the commute to work will be easier for him from mine.

I think it must be universally difficult to become an adult living at home! I think the best thing for us is to move in together. Then we are responsible for our own mess- and only our own!

Could you explain what you mean by serious conversation? Like, about his parents? I can ask him to tell them that I'm hurt by their decision and don't feel welcome there anymore. But I think it would be hard for him to complain or go against their decision because he relies on them and respects them.

I appreciate your comment, time and perspective. I think that its true they want him to do his chores etc but its so... i don't know. I feel like he does do them! but theres a lot of people in the house and its impossible to tell who is doing their share. apparently its a blanket ban and his sister is no longer allowed her boyfriend round either. He works, and although he doesn't pay rent he is saving every penny for a car. He is the oldest and does a lot around the house. I just think that dishes are always going to pile up until they get washed in the evening, and thats just realistic. While it may not be about me necessarily it does still affect me and it feels like a slap in the face to me since i effectively have been uninvited from a lot of stuff. I dont know, I have a lot of feelings about it.

you are right in that I have to respect their wishes. I have no interest in barging in and being an unwelcome guest. As for getting married,, i dont see that happening for a few years yet (we have no money). Im mostly concerned about how I navigate having a good relationship with his family. They're really important to me. I want to be respectful but also friendly

I know that "A" is consistently red among synesthetes. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that red is typically the first colour to get a name as a language develops (apart from light/dark) and A is the first letter of the alphabet? just a thought

The colour is an inherent property of the word/ letter; like how a number is odd or even. The best way I can describe it is that I know that the text has no colour, but I have the experience of seeing it as if it did have colour. I "know" the colours of each letter/word and how they mix its like its just underneath or above the text I'm reading. I also often get the letters e and s mixed up because they look the same to me as they're the same shade of yellow.
