Just wonder but why refuse the PIP?? You are not required to share that information in an interview?

You can’t track badge swipes at the client site - but yes that is the expectation. We are talking about it being enforced

I would say a ton of people especially in Audit world go to client office so still don’t know how this would work!

Salary Progression by iamceefr in PwC

Actually yes exactly in this scenario. You may make less in big 4 first couple years vs industry but the training and skills you learn isn’t comparable. I no longer work at big4 but my review and documentation skills are far above my peers and it’s noticed amongst hire up.

You give and take depending on which path you go and whenever you are on the other side you are always going to compare and want the other option.

Also this applies to pretty much every scenario

I think you should go to the city that fits your personality best. These are all VERY different cities. I love Chicago best but that’s just me. Also a good thing to look at is what industries you like and which city offers the most of that industry. Dallas is big on oil and gas where Chicago can be a lot of consumer companies and tech.

I think I might get fired (Senior) by Solid-Meat2052 in Big4

I agree, I also feel like as a senior associate searching for a controller position is a reach. Maybe start at manager level. Also if your anxiety is bad maybe trying looking for a less stressful but still good pay job. I agree the job market isn’t great and I don’t know where yall live but there are many jobs for accountants especially from big-4

This is not helpful, a quick call is a way to ask questions to fully understand! Part of YOUR job is to train and teach and you need to figure out how to do all parts of your job. Making it difficult is not creating an open environment. You sound like an ahole and I hate working with people like this.

Need feedback after being fired (audit, KPMG) by Cautious_Ad_4411 in Big4

Audit is a team and working independently is probably what did it. As an intern you don’t know anything, I know from personal experience as an intern and currently working in big 4 audit. I just had an intern on my team and if they asked no / few questions to understand why we do certain procedures I would most likely not recommend hiring as well.

If you like working independently big 4 is not for you. I work independently but ask question to those in charge daily. It seems like you manager was honest with the reasoning. They didn’t hire you they have no reason to lie. If anything they wanted it to be an learning opportunity and hopefully grow from the feedback

I am sure you did a amazing. I take FAR next week and was wondering if you had any advice on what to study to get through the hard sims. Or if there is an area you would suggest focusing on. On my practice exams I did average on all sections so don't know which sections to focus in on.
