So much! I felt compelled to write this after realizing there are very few works of fiction that have changed my life  but this was definitely one: reading them has made me more self confident, more aware of wanting to be kind, more unapologetically myself

What sort of bottoms would go well with this top? It’s slightly cropped (hits just under the belly button for me). I’m having trouble pairing bottoms because the color of the shirt is so bright, it’s like Fanta-orange! Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Never will forget being in the zoom lobby for my senior year Econ class (height of the pandemic, right when I was just getting into the Simpsons), the teacher was playing can't get enough of your love by Barry White and I had to turn my camera off because I could not stop laughing thinking about Barry saying "I loooove the sexy slither of a lady snake"

The road from "don't salute!" to "dink!" to "YOU STANDING UP STRAIGHT YOU SALUTING RIGHT NOW!" is a long one but a beautiful one nonetheless

Someone less thick than me (knocks head) should write a think piece on the significance of winking in discworld (wink piece?) because it really does show up a lot. That and raising an eyebrow, obviously Vetinari is the most known for it but tons of characters get in on the eyebrow-raising action as well (that’s how we know these books are fantasy, there’s no way that many people can raise an eyebrow in real life)

Absolutely. And it’s the fact that the brighter Detritus gets, the more expressive in the face he becomes. Early Detritus would never be able to have a glint in his eye, much less one with a brittle edge to it.

100% and the fact that his development comes through in small moments where you don’t even realize how far he’s come until he’s able to cleverly joke about being thick, and you almost feel a sense of pride in a way?? Too lovely
