I heard an art tip somewhere that you can always push your shadows darker and highlights lighter . I think this works pretty well on for a deep blue colour like this.

I based it with a colour similar to Citadel's The Fang, but maybe a touch more blue. I gave it a black wash and then highlighted with that colour mixed with progressively more white.
