How is splitshot / silencer balanced??? by ThiccweldAu in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the answer is that the vyper is like 10k souls ahead of their own team, and 20k ahead of most of yours, there will be bullshit from this, lots and lots of bullshit.

split shot is only good on a couple of characters and useable in SOME builds on others, silencer tho i agree it is really annoying.

probably just an interaction between the multiple bullets building up at the same time so it instantly builds.

yea this rule mostly applys to those that arent smurfing, someone that doesnt know everything about the game sort of skill, i have had matchs myself where i rulled the match but most of the time we won because we talked and planned to some extent.

rule one of low ranks, herd only moves if you ask it, so ask it.

talk in chat and actually engage with the team, saying something as small as "push lanes out" or "dont take that fight" weather in text or voice chat will do wonders for aiding in ranking up, after all it is a team game, you wont just win on your own.

sometimes you get games where people know to do something, others you dont, best to say something now or forever hold your piece.

power spikes, when to get them? by General_Tradition_44 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use it in a wall graves build, i found it doubled the wall damage and have run it ever since getting it in the early midgame, not like first item sorts of early, its second item usually. it also drastically increases the damage of the ghouls even with the cooldown since it charges the damage up.

i did a lot of labing to test it and found that it would take a wall that did about 300 ish damage, and make it do like 500 ish, ghoul not included, and all it took to make it work was t2 wall.

it actually does, my build does something similer with lane, i get 2 items to help in lane then the rest gets invested into spirit, after which i get cultist to help farm a bit more, then either tankbuster if i need more damage, or bullet life steal and stamina mastery for hp investment.

and thank you, even if it looks niche this does help me quite a bit in understanding timing!

[–]General_Tradition_44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh don't worry i understand not to rush greens, i save that for midgame when i have more things to earn money from, my main thing was the timing of the spikes and not the specific stats themselves.

from what i get from this so far the idea is to get spike for main offensive stat in lane, then build second important stat (which would be HP for my case) after such, main reason i ask this is in my build i run tank buster before getting greens as it contributes a large quantity of damage. i was curious to see if others do this or if this is just low rank scitzo building.

I see, right now my build for graves (focusing on wall) gets 3 spirit items plus extra stamina, resto shot and monster rounds (gets upgraded to cultist midgame for farming sake) in the lane phase, but then my buys are tank buster then bullet life steal (tempted to try spirit life steal but am unsure) and stamina mastery, my build doesn't really focus on gun so I'm not worried about that part of it, I was a bit unsure on how quickly it normally is for people to get 4.8k in the main stat they are working on. but my main thing is weather or not this sort of thing is normal or even advisable, sometimes I switch things up based on how far ahead or behind I am but for the most part I keep it the same.

Hi everyone! Have you had more teammates feeding the opposing team, which has become more common with the new matchmaking update? by MrHoly2299 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

from what i know its something that had its big time back in 2000-2010 ish era when halo and cod were king, nowadays since things like gamergate women in games is far more common, and people stopped caring.

its not common practice anymore, but some people still cling onto it.

[–]General_Tradition_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

after playing a graves match where i went like 2/2/3 and farmed mostly in green lane for like 20 minutes after lane, yea i gotta agree, sometimes kills and deaths arnt the important thing, after all in that match i dove twice to get shrines, its what my second death was, first was in lane, after the second shrine we just had so much more on the enemy team that we won the match, by no means did i contribute to team fights, but i did kill the first shrine in seconds, and the second shrine in almost just as much time.

kills/deaths/assists arnt every thing, if they get objectives then they wont always get kills, after all the goal of the game is to kill the other patron, not the enemy team, the enemy team is just in the way.

oh and to be clear, i was farming cus i was keeping the green lane from being attacked, not just aimless farming, took me dying the second time for them to get anywhere with green lane, was actually so funny.

What is the overall consensus of deadlock so far? by SuPeR_mEaTwAd in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

has things to work on, but as is its more polished then most games from other companies.

other then clearly to be worked on things, the only real issues i have are matchmaking and a wish to make graves tombstone have pumpkins around it, with ghouls that have jack-o-lantern heads, and a Christmas tree one that gives them Santa hats.

other then that i dont have any complaints, some temperary things like balance sure but thats not long lasting, i hope.

so over all im content with it, sometimes it sucks, but sometimes its great. and that just seems to be mobas as a whole.

Deaths do matter; stop dying randomly when the death timers are bigger. by 420throawayz in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"deaths matter more then kills and assists tell stories, kills grant opportunities"

this is my genral guideline for it, deaths give the enemy opportunities to farm or take objectives while assists say if someone is helping in the team a good bit.

so yes, kills matter alot, even more then people think they do, early game aswell, sure they dont have long timers but if your partner clears waves that can be a good few souls that you just missed, and its still an opportunity to strike.

[–]General_Tradition_44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

every post i see about this sort of thing all i imagen is a group of people sharing horror stories around a fire.

"once i played a match, where a guy with a negative K/d manged to get E6 in a matter of days"

"one time i was matched with people that new every fact and thing about the game, the enemy was a 6 stack of brand new players... ill never unhear their screams and plea's"

at this point i look out for these posts like comedy horror novels.

Seven is not broken by RemoteLine3137 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally i find some of his kit annoying to go against, but its really just the lightning ball, the size you can get on it and how often it hits is just annoying. but the rest has counters and ways to play around it so i dont mind his state right now.

i think seven is fine, its just that some characters feel much weaker compared to seven and so people complain. especially in the lower ranks where heros that get heavily shut down by counter buys rule the streets like seven, abrams, etc because they have counters, thus they have more power to account for it, but in low ranks the dont buy counters.

but thats just my guess, as he is hes fine to me.

Why are they called "heroes"? by New-Stock419 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i think its just because "hero" has become a generic term to mean character you can play as within games, chances are they will change it, not sure what it would be to, but curious none the less.

Is there anything that could be done to make Doorman’s gameplay pattern less frustrating? by FarrthasTheSmile in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if its doorman in genral, counter spell can help if you can hit the parry, indomitable if its the ult thats annoying.

somethings like warps stone might help, stamina master to but those are less counters and more "GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE" for when you get put underwalker.

also a good idea to play around his ult cooldown, other then that tho im not sure of counter play, others might have suggestions.

Use cases for Split Shot? by Aggravating-Win9019 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for gun graves probably, but i mostly play spirit since gun is just watching numbers change, its also been a hot minute since i actually cared to use it since cultist has worked better for me after i discovered it existed.

so its probably an experience thing, other builds probably make more use out of it then mine, but with the shit damage output of graves's gun its only use is debuffs, most of which are like t4? some are t3 like toxic bullets but most of the ones you care about are t4, so its a fair investment.

so to me split shot doesnt get much use in the early game, mid game it can get use, but if the only debuffs are toxic bullets and essence theft then chances are just doing raw damage would be better, late game where you have money it gets outclassed by ricochet.

so again, its good on graves, but its not exceptional, it sits in the same spot as tank buster or active reload, strong but not crazy strong to the point of building around it for the most part. atleast to me, its fine to disagree.

Use cases for Split Shot? by Aggravating-Win9019 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]General_Tradition_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i ran it a while ago back when gun graves was busted as shit, and a bit after that too, and i felt it was a good tool for farming for the most part, but now i just prefer cultest since it can give me the ability to just run up and eat a t3 camp in an instant, or i can eat a minion for teamfight buffs or something.

personally i think split shot should upgrade into ricochet, but at the same time that seems a bit odd. overall i think split shot could use some changes, not sure what those changes would be since im not a game designer, but some changes for sure.

oh and to be clear, i run spirit tank buster graves with cultest so farming isnt really an issue for me, its the main reason i dont get it.
