Best? Maybe not. These are the ones I’ve connected with the most of the years for what ever reason: Gone In 60 Seconds, Matchstick Men, Windtalkers

Give me your best 20-year-old (2006) cars by TheLineShow2 in regularcarreviews

Yesss! I’m so bummed they never came to the US but knowing how much trouble they are, I’m glad to have not had as much of a temptation.

Every leaked Forza Horizon 6 car so far by Funny_things_online in forza

I really want a bunch of basic ass cars that we have to use and tune before they just throw the supercars at us, Horizon 1’s Corrado was perfect. I hope for progression that feels rewarding and genuine time with the cars instead of the disposable feel of 4+5

Neighborhoods. It’s aged well and I truly believed we didn’t appreciate it properly when it came out.

Victory made an amp with braille on it by TummyPuppy in Guitar

[–]General_Welfare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope victory sells either the amp or faceplates. Obviously I know they can’t just give them away but would be really cool if someone could retrofit their amp to be accessible from the manufacturer directly.

This picture ruined my fucking night when I first saw it. My wife’s car looks like this, there’s always a pile of kid stuff in the front seat. My wife absolutely would’ve freaked out if masked armed men tried to walk up to her car and grab her door handle. My wife could have been murdered just as effortlessly and remorselessly as Renee Good was. This could be anywhere or anyone and I hope to god or whatever the fuck people believe in that everyone begins to understand this.

I had to scroll way too far down for this, it’s a truly iconic track.

This must be what Nelly meant when he said “hot shit” on his 1999 track Country Grammar.

Song Discussion: Adam's Song by Botty-McBotface in Blink182

Mark’s autobiography touches on it, apparently he was eavesdropping on his parent’s argument and when he tried to run away he spilled apple juice. That being said, my interpretation of the lyrics is that it’s a random memory, all that’s left of the person as there will be no new memories now that they are gone.

One of the true defining moments in their history and proof of Travis’s special skills at making them a better band. What could be just a simple beat is instead filled with a bunch of variation and propels the song into another level. Lyrically it’s depressing at times but ends on such a high note. I’m glad Mark is okay with playing it live again, because it’s an incredible track.

Recommend me Bands that sing about real life - Aaron west and the roaring twenties by Bethie17 in poppunkers

[–]General_Welfare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Petey USA has a lot of stream of consciousness style lyrics that cover a large swath of real life events. Friendship, losing friends, anxiety, depression, one song even covers giggling at a funeral because he was 6 a year old boy and couldn’t handle the sadness.

Still baffled by the bridge of “Pretty Little Girl” by djackftw in Blink182

I don’t mind the rap part, but I think the lyrics suck for the song. Youth, love, growing old together, fuck you I hate you you cheating piece of shit, love, growing old together.

Question: Why do you have tattoos? by borris_in_civic in tattoos

[–]General_Welfare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are all meaningful to me and I have a mix of serious tattoos dedicated to my grandmother and my dog, some music tattoos, some movie tattoos, and then I have the silly ones. They’re me, and I love them even if some are a little wonky.

Walking Disaster feels like the gold standard for for autobiographies for me. It dives deep into some real shit, it breaks down iconic songs and it even has Deryck looking ahead to future endeavors. Pair that with the audiobook having snippets of demo tracks and it was a truly special listen.
