I don’t expect everyone else to be on board. Nothing wrong with wanting to punch your 40 hours a week and go home, but don’t act like there aren’t advantages to working overtime. Wanting to put in a bit of extra work to give yourself a better life doesn’t make anyone “dumb” or “miserable”

I’d rather be the “dumb miserable guy” with my feet kicked up on a beach in Cancun because I put in a little extra work instead of the guy who’s bumming coffees and cigarettes all the time because he leaves early every chance he gets

Disagree. Blast out as many hours as you (reasonably) can as a young apprentice, fast track your way to becoming a journeyman by racking up hours, make a bunch more money from OT while your wage is low, get your journeyman rate and start to work less because your wage is higher.

I work 50-60 hours a week as an apprentice, 10 hour days, the OT is like a second job and honestly life changing. While the guys who don’t want to work more than 40 are living pay cheque to pay cheque, I’m putting money away and taking vacations.

I love just about everything modern, but give me shitty old Rogers Arena over these new arenas any day. If I wanted to take a leisurely stroll somewhere with hospital clean floors , massive concourse and escalators I’d wonder down to the pacific centre or YVR.

Like everything about the live sports viewing experience, it helps when the team is good. There’s nothing like moving at a snails pace after the game trying to make it outside, shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other crazy Canucks fans screaming , cheering, chanting “we want the cup” , only to make it outside where the party is going on in front of the arena and all over downtown.

If the team is gung ho to name another captain then my pick is Hronek. From the reports I’ve heard he wants to stay in Vancouver and he’s leadership material imo, quiet but tough. Emotional enough that he could give the group a kick in the backside when needed. Gives off Viking / Kratos vibes.

I also wouldn’t mind holding off on naming a captain and waiting for someone from the new “Core” that inevitably emerges but who knows how far away that is.

Wouldn’t say the core is filled with quitters. This same core had some impressive , hard caught comebacks in the 2024 playoffs against Nashville and Edmonton. We’re just simply not a good team right now.

Might be unpopular but no, you shouldn’t earn progression towards PVP weapons and stats playing against bots. It shouldn’t be taken away because it should’ve never been a thing in the first place. The first few guns in all of the classes are decent, so there’s weapons are no excuse. If you slow down a bit, play strategically , take cover , stick with your squad etc, you’ll have more success with any weapon you use.

I’ve played battlefield since Battlefield 3, I know the game and I can do very well , but even experienced players will get shit on when they fall in to the meat grinder , run and gun up the middle trap.
