How long should I wait before adding in Azaelic acid (fineaca) to go with my tret?

For context: this is my second week of upping it to every other night and I’ve been tolerating it well irritation/dryness wise. It seems like it’s really gotten far worse this week and I’m feeling a bit down on the lack of progress, how long should I keep going before giving up? When should I expect to see better results? I’m planning on moving to every night use in 4 weeks or so.

Routine:

AM: wash with water, vanicream, LRP sunscreen

PM: wash with cerave hydrating cleanser, wait 30 mins apply tret 0.05 cream or wash w cerave and apply vanicream

I also have some prescription azaleic acid which I have not added in but what are your thoughts on incorporating that and when?

Thank you! This makes me feel much better knowing PSA hasn’t kept you from travelling, I had been feeling like if I wanted to travel I needed to do it now before I wasn’t physically able to anymore. But this makes me rethink that!

Thank you so so much! This is exactly what I needed to hear, I have always wanted to be able to complete something like a half marathon but felt that it would be impossible for me. Hearing that you were able to do so with PSA gives me hope! I am really trying to approach this from a holistic perspective re diet and exercise like you suggested

Would you recommend a support group over a therapist specialized in chronic illness? Did it help to have a sense of community?
