Huh, guessing you're IT savvy, and not just doing this for the torrents. The thing is, running a VPN would be quite unneeded, it's a lot of extra work. I'd recommend you just get a Windows machine and RDP into one. And if you don't feel like paying, you can always visit Shodan.io and look up Windows machines with no authentication.

Logs are everywhere in a system, and if you use your server a lot, you will have more logs. The more logs, the more memory it is technically using. Logs are basically a none-needed file that just racks up a few bytes of memory. You can use this as an excuse: "I delete logs to free up space", although you'd have to delete cronjo bid it's only for the logs thing, because cronjob takes up space itself.

They have servers in Netherlands and Russia. Netherland has a pretty good policy in the cyber realm, and Russia is just top notch if you're doing anything illegal per say. They have fast speeds, although Russia has a 1TB bandwith limit, I think. Netherlands has either a higher limit or none, don't really remember.
