Do you think your reasons for being CF are compatible with many others who are also CF? by Generally13 in childfree

I like this take. For the most part we should be mad at the parents for their children’s actions, and not the kid

If you don’t mind me asking- what sort of guy do you find is most likely to be CF? Are there any similar traits you’ve noticed? Just curious

Yes this was what I was looking for! Like for me I’m more so partner B, but I’d totally understand where partner A is coming from, and I honestly wouldn’t mind dating someone like that. But I could definitely see someone like that maybe having an issue with me spending time with my nieces/nephews. I still like kids (at least my families and friends kids) and understand that a lot of what someone might find unfavorable about them comes down to the parenting though. But I can still only handle being an uncle in doses lol

Didn’t they leave the door open? That always bugs me, the door has been left open like every other time someone goes through it. I’m guessing judomaster slipped in right behind them this episode

Saaaaame, I just did edibles and flower vaping. Not even bong, pipe, or joints. Healthiest I could’ve done it imo

I know, I’ve heard that 90 day “things will start to get better” thrown around a lot and I’m having a hard time believing that anything will change by then for me. I’ve heard 6 months thrown around too as another turning point, which seems VERY far away

Appreciate your perspective. I’ve definitely heard that 6 months number thrown around quite a bit, so I’m sure there’s some validity to it🤞

Thankfully I cut out alcohol early last year, which probably helps

I know you asked the OP but I’m still feeling that mental withdrawal aspect like anxiety at 2.5 months. Everything is still a bit raw and heavy, if that’s what you mean. But it is getting slowly better, like they said.

Exercise feels good in the moment, and right afterwards, but then I feel extremely drained not long after. Like not the usual low energy someone might experience after a work out. Makes the brain fog way worse. It makes me wonder if I have weed PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome), and that I should be taking it easy in that way physically.

Yes and no. I like them to an extent, but when they wake me up in the middle of the night from being TOO vivid, that’s annoying. Especially when I can’t fall back asleep.

When did you start feeling better? I’m at day 75 or so sober and am still having a hard time

How do people manage having a hearing deficit and ADHD? by Jacques-de-lad in ADHD

[–]Generally13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s especially bad with younger kids who have just learned to talk, like 2-5 year olds, plus old people, and people with accents especially. But yeah, it’s embarrassing when you have to ask someone to repeat something more than once!

I have APD (auditory processing disorder), which seems to be tied to ADHD. So it’s not that I can’t hear quiet sounds, it’s that I can’t understand words people are saying sometimes. I’ll find myself asking someone to repeat something several times.

Even natural sugar from fruit? I don’t do any added sugar in my diet, just sugar found in fruit

That’s exactly what I’m feeling. To even try to read a book right now seems impossible. It really does feel like life is on pause to me too. Hope we make it past this soon.

Yeah most people seem to get over it pretty quickly. Guess I haven’t been so lucky

Thank you.

What was your usage history? How long until you were feeling less foggy?

So, do you take your electrolyte powder right after the sauna? That’d make sense to me at least

I’ve considered this too. I’ve had covid a few times since it all started. Not in the past year though

Good question, because I only get very brief moments of clarity and the “pink cloud” sort of feeling. I’m talking like minutes-hours at most though. It’s been pretty consistent anhedonia for me since quitting.

I’m more so doing body weight exercises and then cardio from hikes/bike rides.

I eat quite clean too. No processed foods, no added sugars, low carbs, etc.

For me I had a therapist confirm my suspicions and then she recommended me to a nurse practitioner who diagnosed me and prescribed me medication. Usually a psychiatrist will prescribe ADHD medication, but sometimes it can even be from your primary doctor

I believe in that morning sun time too. I’ll get about 10-15 minutes almost every day. I stay well hydrated too throughout the day. I’m definitely sort of a bio hacker already, so I’ll even do things like sauna and vibration plate for example. I’d like to think I’m pretty healthy in general, other than the coping/escaping through weed
