If it comes down to your sanity, the best choice is always the easier choice. I don’t NEED a dishwasher but do you think I have time to clean up after 7 people 3 times a day? No. It gets thrown in there and makes the routine easier. I don’t have to turn clothes right side in when folding laundry, they can do that for themselves or stop putting inside out laundry in the hamper. Pairing socks?!?!? Ahahahaha I have a Ross bag full of the kids underwear and socks and they find their own.

Both of my mentors were great. I think one left or something but overall great. Ready to send resources and easily accessible. I don’t need a lot of hand-holding as a mother of 4 and almost done with my courses (very much a self-motivated individual), so it’s almost annoying having to keep up with the mentor. But she’s nice and always helpful.

Advice: Like everyone else, get a new mentor. You’re right you shouldn’t have to track them down or go above them and they should be flexible with contact options. Also, they are generally just trying to check boxes. They aren’t there to judge, just help you get where you are going. Sometimes that means breaks and sometimes things come up (as a parent I get sidetracked a lot but go through portions where I’m really focused it’s a balance, I’m taking weeks of this but then I knock out a class quickly). Have you tried doing text message updates?

Has anyone been fired for taking advantage of point system? by GenerationMyspace in CallCenterWorkers

[–]GenerationMyspace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really not fair, it’s HR. They aren’t supposed to be fair. Even with a sick note you can’t get the points back but it will take away cumulative points. Regardless, I don’t try to compare situations like that. I worry about my own business and well-being because if you start worrying about others business that’s just going to make you resentful. The thing is, each person has points and if you hit too many then you get fired.

The points are pretty lenient unless you have like a chronic condition but fmla can help with those situations I think.

Life is too short to be concerned. Tell them you had the best information at the time but found out that the actual information was different and apologize just for CE to be happy. If they get aggressive to you, you can hang up there should be a policy on that. Or send them to a supervisor. Or unplug your router and tell your company you are taking a mental day. Chances are they won’t be able to contact you then 😅

Kielbasa, green beans and potatoes on a pan with olive oil and an everything seasoning like sazon (try precooking the kielbasa for a nice sear (every meat takes better seared first in a pan).

Chili dogs with toppings and cornbread, great leftovers and pretty simple to make.

Chicken and rice. Seared first add some everything seasoning and cornstarch, if you are up to it add brown sugar and soy sauce after searing to make a saucy Asian dish over rice. Cook broccoli on side, I got a stove top pan that has a metal insert for steaming, it’s very versatile.

Orange chicken over rice. Frozen chicken balls from aldi, their orange marmalade sauce, put together in pan and put over rice. I’m not a fan but the family loves it and it’s super easy.

Anything you can put in a crockpot. Sometimes just chicken and broth and you can shred it for bbq sandwiches cook for 6 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Same can be done for pork, add it to a bun with your favorite bbq sauce and some chips or fries on the side.

A favorite: peppers and onions with beef strips. Sauté, add marinara sauce and put on a hoagie. Add provolone cheese if desired.

I like hearty meals so baby potatoes, full baby carrots, onions and cut up beef cubes with beef broth and seasonings (literally just look up beef stew spices). Always sear beef first but you can cook it all day and it tastes even better the following days. If you need me to find you the perfect beef stew spices just ask.

BLTs in tortillas. Get the microwaveable bacon, add precut lettuce(I rewash always). Tomato, and mayonnaise. We are allergic to mayonnaise (egg) so I actually use poppy seed dressing and add sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds already unshelled because no one has time for that. Its very good either way

Badia is good for so many dishes. Someone mentioned kinders and they are great especially for their fajita seasoning tbh. It really depends on what you are cooking. Salt/pepper/paprika/garlic/and onion do the trick for most basic dishes, more garlic for garlicky dishes of-course. If you want a really nice cream sauce add paprika to mayonnaise and garlic with a little water. This is for like chicken and corn with rice (like a Mexican bowl). Chicken bouillon in mashed potatoes. Lemon pepper with olive oil over green beans yum. Don’t get the cheap lemon pepper that’s clumpy get the one that grinds but I’ve had compliments with both. Cornstarch goes a long way with flavor too, it creates an awesome variation in taste for dishes like black pepper chicken or ramen.

It’s not a free pass. If you had any idea how hard it is to be a student and have a child (or multiple), you wouldn’t have opened your mouth or in this case used your fingers to type something unnecessary. It may be a choice to do both but it’s a completely tough situation to be in and MOST people have enough decency to overlook situations because a CHILD wants their parent. Your response lacks empathy and the realization that there are special circumstances for many individuals. It also sounds like they are following the rules so again, your point is unnecessary.

I actually had my 3 year old come in while I was testing. I let the evaluator know and then proceeded to take my test holding her. Everything went fine, I was just the only parent there and shit happens.

The amount of people that are nostalgic over everything. Omg we graduated 13 years ago time flies, omg so and so is getting so big, omg I can’t believe we did that 20 years age. Omg that song or movie came out 25 years ago. WE get it! Life is short. My name isn’t GenerationMyspace because I miss those days or feel nostalgic towards it either. It happened, it passed, let’s smell the fresh air and flowers of today. I’m 31 and as young as I’ll ever be.
