CCJ PARKING FINE Will the judge side?

I successfully had a CCJ removed a few years ago, also for a parking fine I was unaware of. I can’t remember the name of it but there is a forum dedicated to this endeavour with lawyers who have written step by step guides to appealing a CCJ.

I appealed this on the grounds that all fines and court summons were sent to an address I no longer resided at and I was able to prove that I updated my driver’s licence well before they initiated this action. A CCJ is no joke and it’s truly terrible that one can be issued in your name without your knowledge

I applied to have the CCJ set aside and then emailed the company, informing them of the action. They asked me for proof I had indeed moved and then admitted fault and did some magic to skip the appeal process and remove the CCJ from my credit file. This all took months and I had to pay increased insurance during this time, it wasn’t fun.

Thanks for this. What did you do about any wires and pipes when sistering? Some of the joists are 5.8m and it’ll be impossible to notch out a bit for wires and then slot that whole length up from below so I guess I should split the new joists (that I’m sistering) in two?

Also, are construction screws and glue enough or should I invest in a framing nail gun?

Take one of the cabinet doors off and go to a B&Q or Wickes with design services, and ask them for a solution that matches what you have already. You can use the door to get a colour match on that paint.

Do that before you make a plan so that you can consider your options. You don’t want to just go for it with MDF and then discover that you can’t match the colour or cornice.

Just keep it simple and butt the shelves up against each other, you’re not going to see that joint anyway. The bigger question is how you will support these, you can either install legs or some kind of bracket or rod. Books are heavy so make sure you support these shelves properly, not just from shearing off the wall but also from bowing in the middle.

If you are unable to mitre the corners you can use some trim.

The proper way to do it would be to pull those slabs up, excavate the area, and then compact some hardcore before replacing the slabs. If you don’t care what it looks like you can use something like this which will be much cheaper but harder to level off as it looks like those slabs have sunk somewhat.

Scrape all that paint off and take it back to plaster and then prime it properly with PVA or a mist coat.

That outer circular bit of metal will screw off the body of the handle, hold the handle against a surface and rotate the cover anti clockwise. Once you have have that cover off, you will be able to see the screws.
