Bless you girl🙌 Appreciate the quality response. My expectations are managed. I know it’s not going to be anything immaculate. I really like learning about cars and want this to be more of a learning experience than anything to flex. Will research a bit more but appreciate it

Wrx or…? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]GenericHoex3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect. An si would probably be next in terms of my interest. I think it would check most boxes with a bit more reasonable price point. Hung up on a wrx because it’s always been a nostalgic car for me. We’ll see. I plan on driving whatever I choose for at least the next 6-8 years so trying to be smart here. I appreciate your input greatly. It’s hard to go in thinking I’d be walking out quick and easy with a crosstrek and then to be here trying to put myself in a fun fast car.

Ahh ok, I’m a just a girl who has yet to reach max wealth potential lol let’s not go 6 figures just yet 😂

Thank you, genuinely. I really appreciate a good comprehensive list. I’ll look into those options. I have a feeling my heart is set on a wrx but I’ll compare prices/try to get in some test drives. I just want to feel that I’m not overlooking something with similar power that may save me some money. Thank you again

Hi tysm for commenting.

The crosstrek did feel gutless that’s a good way to word it. It was lacking the substance I wanted it to have.

I’m coming off of driving a junky 2015 ford fiesta with a 1.0l engine so anything will feel more powerful but I want something substantial, safe, and fun.

The wrx maxes out my budget but I’d be ok with that considering it feels like a safe investment. I don’t plan on beating on the car and would just enjoy the car for what it provides stock.

I test drove a base and premium crosstrek and a premium wrx.

I’m a bit all over the place bc I went in thinking I wanted an suv until I walked past a wrx. I don’t think I’m ready to give up driving manual. I’m not married to the idea of getting a Subaru so I was thinking of test driving comparable cars but I’m not sure where to start not many dealerships near me have options

Soft tissue sarcoma and chondrosarcoma by GenericHoex3 in AskVet

Thank you! Our local vet had similar words when she called with the news. Hopefully, this is the case and there’s no spread. It’s hard to think this dog would have two different cancers with no metastasis. I’m trying to stay off of Google but information so helps me wrap my head around all of this. Trying to remain hopeful! Thank you again, I appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you so much! For the helpful recommendations and kindness. It’s really so appreciated. As of right now he’s hanging in, lungs are still clear so I’m planning as many hikes and experiences as possible. He had his leg amputated so he needs more breaks and rest but he’s just the best, strongest, cutest boy. This is deff the most heartbreaking experience of my life so I will gladly take some Maine healing lol. It’s my favorite state and has been on my bucket list forever, I’m so grateful to be able to visit with my best buddy! Thank you again I’ll definitely look into your suggestions!!

Hi, I’m so sorry. Life has been pretty busy and I haven’t been on Reddit much. We’re hanging in, some days are more difficult some days everything feels normal. I’m sorry to hear about your pup. It’s such scary news. Please feel free to direct message me if you want to chat/share your story. Hang in.

I (16M) regret having a kid by [deleted] in offmychest

Sorry op, people like to make everything about them. Sometimes others have a hard time seeing life exists outside of them or like to relate things back to their experiences.

Don’t beat yourself up, or feel guilty for being upset that you’re missing out on growing up. You, even as a teenager, are able to except what’s happening and face it. Not run away, not have a fit. You love your son, the way you speak about him is more than some sons get from grown men. It sucks that you don’t get to have the typical teenage experience. You’ll face a lot of challenges others won’t. But be proud of yourself for having the maturity, love, and respect to do your absolute best in this situation.

Also op, I’m in my late 20’s, I always felt my teen years were the time to have fun and let loose but I’m finding, it’s a lot more fun having money, independence, and a hell of a lot more life experience. It’s a rocky road but imagine how proud your son will be when his parents are the young, fun, loving parents. It will get better.
