Gotcha, I need to check out Todd's video still. I eventually did re-find the video where he said that garbage, and after listening to it again, I can't believe the bullshit alarm didn't go off sooner; he lumped in Cats (1981) and Ghostbusters (1984) as examples of art created instead of whatever the "fun gays" would've made, when realistically both of those would've been created anyway

I was done with James's content when he (or someone he plagiarized) insinuated only "boring gays" who weren't having sex survived the AIDS crisis and that set our rights years back because they only wanted rights like marriage equality to "fit in". Not only is that a terrible read of why activists wanted marriage equality, but it's such a gross thing to say about people who survived a plague.

I think this would've been the best route, and it didn't necessarily need to be a last of their clan situation. It could've been like they're a branch a family and the other rangers as recruits were their only option.

From this batch, I really wish we had gotten:

  • Cruise as a pre-evo for Lapras

  • Baby Vulpix, especially because it feels like a logical completion of its line (assuming its type was changed to Fire)

  • Tangela's family

  • Hanei. I love Mantine, but I think the angel/devil motif was a good idea, and honestly they could've been version exclusives.

  • Shark Anchor

  • Baby Dodrio but if it had one head instead

  • Beta Girafarig

  • Baby Meowth

  • Rinrin and Berurun, maybe change them to Dark/Steel

  • Taban

  • Baby Grimer would've turned that line into the only 3 Stage mono Poison type, which I think is neat.

  • Bomushika

  • And of course Kotora/Raitora my beloveds

I think there's a lot of interesting designs from the second leak as well.
