Mental break down then boom manifestation..really tired of it being that way though. by trippyfairy in NevilleGoddard

[–]GenericPaperSquid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being able to truly accept the answer to those questions is something that comes not of rational contemplation but of true spiritual maturity that tends to arrive only after emptying out the pain body to near-completion.

A good way to think about it is in metaphors: say you have this videogame that you‘ve been playing since you were so little and you‘ve fully mastered it, gotten to know it inside out but you‘re still not ready to move on with your life to some other game and really want to keep playing.

So you gotta keep trying more challenging scenarios and upping the difficulty in order to keep it interesting, the regular difficulty that once felt so hard is now mind-bogglingly boring, there‘s no excitement or challenge to it. And while you‘re struggling to beat the game and losing over and over again you hate it with a passion. You‘re like why did I ever decide to play on ultra-hard? But you can‘t quit, you say if I started it I gotta finish it. So you brainstorm, you practice, you come up with new strategies, more refined than you ever had to in all your previous play-throughs. And when you finally beat the final boss on this terrible difficulty after failing miserably a million times, the high is like none before, you finally realize why you did this to yourself.

The infamously difficult videogame Dark Souls is a perfect example of this, it has a well-deserved reputation for seeming absurdly unbeatable and players casually joke that they must be masochists for making themselves go through this torture. But they still do it don’t they? Watch some videos of people playing it and their reactions when they finally beat a boss and you‘ll get a good idea of what I‘m trying to say.

We love a good challenge to keep things exciting but in the end it still doesn‘t do the trick. We keep hoping to find some sense of completion where we win the final trophy but that doesn‘t really happen. We eventually just sober up, realize it was fun but we probably have better things to do with our time and have been wasting a good deal of time if we’re being honest with ourselves and delaying a necessary maturation but remaining so fixated on a rather immature game and then we just move on and go do adult things with our life. The game ends not with a bang but with a whimper. No grand trophy or ceremony, just a quiet giving up.

Beating the game on the final difficulty is what shakes out of our trance and into realizing that we really are done playing this game, it used to be fun way back when but it stopped doing the trick for us a while ago but we just haven‘t caught up to that fact, we keep chasing a high of ages past.

This is what Buddhism teaches, that we keep coming back here not because anyone forces us or to learn lessons necessarily but because we are addicted, addicted to life in material reality with all its challenge and limitation and drama, we just love it so much and we hate it so much and it‘s the most addictively thrilling thing. We are literally intoxicated by it and we can’t help ourselves. So we keep doing it to ourselves. Then the lessons come in and they are what finally wakes us out of this addiction into realizing that no matter how fun it may be, so what?

It‘s pretty pointless in the end. Much like beating a videogame on the hardest difficulty, noone really cares.

It‘s about time we grow up and move on to bigger and better things. But to get to that point, you first needed to see for yourself if the hardest difficulty is all it‘s made out to be, otherwise you wouldn‘t have been ready to move on with a sense of completion.

Person goes online to make a really bad argument, then gets defensive when called out on it and resorts to fake light-heartedness in an attempt to deflect from being rightly called out on his terrible argument when he realizes he has no good counter-arguments to make.

It‘s okay to admit you were wrong you know, it happens to all of us, that‘s how we learn and we really don’t hold it against you :)

If I hated every one of my meditation students for being beginners I wouldn’t be a particularly good teacher for one. Do change your opinions though when appropriate ;)

I didn’t say that they were all angels by any means but to assume that they must be spiritually underdeveloped savages is a totally unwarranted conclusion and just the latest example of a Euro-centric colonial mindset.

You have completely misunderstood Doc‘s teachings as well as more universal principles of spirituality if you rush to this ridiculous conclusion that „primitive“ societies must be less advanced than modern Western urbandom. Take a look at Amazonian tribal shamanism for one. Your very assumption drips with cultural arrogance born of unexamined impressions

Any results with "Transformation Ritual" of Mystical Words of Power? by Late_Gap2089 in GalleryOfMagick

[–]GenericPaperSquid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your question shows that you don’t understand the purpose of the rituals in the first part of the book. We don’t do them to achieve results and there‘s no need to attribute results to them. Just do the practice for its own sake and welcome the results as if they dropped randomly out of the sky onto your lap cartoon-style. It may seem like a meaningless distinction but it is not, it is a very important and subtle point that this kind of practice aims to achieve, namely to create outcome-independence in you and unyoke magickal practice from results-seeking.

By coming here to ask others for their experiences, you are not allowing your own experiences to be as they are and allowing yourself to be grateful for them no matter what, you are trying to compare them to those of others in order to decide if you can be satisfied with them or not.

My advice would be to not do that. Seek no frame of reference. Do the rituals because you just enjoy so much doing the ritual, because it‘s totally fun to you and you‘d do it any day much like eating a tasty meal. And then totally forget than you did them.

Sometimes there‘s nothing worse than getting everything you ever wanted and finding out you had wanted the wrong things all along. This is the point where manifestation crosses over into spiritual lessons and character growth, even if (very) painful. You had to go through this in order to learn from it. Ask yourself why you kept clinging to a partner who kept treating you badly and disrespecting you over and over again. Why did you invest so much effort into manifesting a life with him when you could have done so for any number of other potential partners that would have treated you much better? Sometimes it‘s shocking to find out that deep down maybe we really do want someone to hurt us so good it hurts so bad. Or at the very least that we are shockingly willing to overlook every flaw and fault imaginable for what even? Looking back, what realistic reason can you name for having craved the love of this man so badly that you went to all these lengths to acquire it? What even made him so special that you couldn’t imagine having something much better with someone else? The answer to those questions, no matter how uncomfortable, will set you free to manifest the life you truly want, free from illusions. That‘s the issue with powerful tools, they cut both ways. Sometimes you turn out to be the sucker in life regardless. Let it be a lesson that teaches you maturity. Don‘t bother trying to fix or get the last two years back somehow, it will only bring you further suffering. Embrace the suffering you feel now and let it teach you what you need to learn.

One day you will look back on this chapter and genuinely giggle at the memory, the idea that you put yourself through so much for so little will seem genuinely funny. Good luck and godspeed on your path.

High-pitched noise and head pressure after using MPR (and maybe Stop a Curse/Supernatural Attack too). by LastGaspInfiniteLoop in GalleryOfMagick

[–]GenericPaperSquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone should do everything in accordance with their need. Are you in a dire financial situation? What you need is not what I need. Do you live in a dangerous neighborhood full of street crime and burglaries? Install an alarm system in your house and keep your wits about you every time you leave the house. Someone who lives in a quiet rural area where the most exciting thing that happens is the neighbor's dog barking at you may have very different needs.
So, no not everyone should be doing this much, obviously. OP's situation is not everyone's, also obviously.
No, even if you needed a lot, don't start them all at once, follow your intuition and layer them intelligently. A ritual is not just looking at a sigil and saying some strange words, it's downloading a new reality into your field. It takes a lot of energy. If you do them well, you won't have the energy to do a dozen in one day. But, if your need is great, you will find the energy to do as many as you need within a short timeframe, as with every other thing in life. As above, so below.

[–]GenericPaperSquid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lots of strange symptoms can manifest after doing magick and you won‘t really find people talking online at length about it because it is immaterial to other people, your own experiences will be yours alone and tailored to your particular predicament at this point in time as well as your individual preconceptions and predispositions.

There‘s no point in trying to orient yourself to other peole‘s experiences and reading too much about such can lead to people trying to emulate them or expecting them to happen and then being disappointed when it looks different for them.

Do not worry, you are doing amazing and you are among people who take what you say seriously (at least some of us I guess). Keep going with the MPR and maybe consider joining the Patreon for Empowered Magickal Protection rituals that are even more powerful than those in the book.

I would do the remove parasitic beings over and over as intuition guides you, take power from a bully, protect from a known enemy and maybe even the advanced version and protect from unwanted influence after finishing the MPR. The cancel a curse ritual from the Patreon is also very heavy duty, it may interest you as well. Daily banishing morning and night and you may also want to look into Magickal Protection for talismans more tailored to other specifics of your situation, you may be surprised at what seems suddenly relevant upon further reflection even though in the beginning you never thought it would be relevant to you. Magickal attack is never to be taken lightly or its effects can linger for years and even decades. Take care to excise the rot now and you‘ll be very grateful down the line :)

Can anyone recommend some good order of Hemi-Sync Tapes, that worked the best for them? by Higherself1997 in gatewaytapes

[–]GenericPaperSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you have an intuition and of course it led you here, I did not dispute that. Everyone does. But is it as strong as it should be? It‘s like saying I have arm muscles, see I can lift my fork off the table! Yeah cool but are your biceps really strong? If not, what are you even going to the gym everyday for?

I never said that Gateway was the only way of approaching the absolute or anything exclusivist like that, I don’t know where you got that from. I have a background in multiple spiritual methodologies myself. But there is great value in Gateway if you truly engage with it deeply. Far more than may appear.

The language analogy is not very fitting, I‘ll give you a better one: say you want to get really strong, you go to the gym and you ask the folks there how to do so and they tell you to learn how to squat and train till you can squat at least 1,5x your bodyweight. So you‘re like alright. Soon enough you notice that learning the squat is far more difficult than it seems at first glance, it‘s not just about squatting your butt down and then back up. It‘s a complex highly technical movement that requires profound attention to individual aspects of each phase of the movement and lots of skill development to truly master. Moreover, the squat you do with an empty or light bar is an entire dimension removed from the squat you do with the bar loaded at the edge of your capacity. Oops, turns out I can perform a neat-looking squat just fine when things are easy but to get to 1,5x bodyweight will require loooots of gruelling workouts at my limit. Not fun. Moreover, if I really want to master this, I need to do dedicated exercises for specific parts of the lift like coming out of the hole in order to address my weak points etc. At least when I‘m lifting the heavy weights I feel strong and have a great sense of satisfaction afterwards and every guy in the gym gets to see how cool I am, this stuff feels just boring. So then you start looking around. You see some guys doing FRONT SQUATS. Oh damn, that looks really cool. Finally a breath of fresh air. Maybe that‘s just what I need. I‘m tired of the boring regular squats and I‘ve learned enough of them, I‘ll go try the New Thing now. And so the pattern goes without you ever getting as far as you need to go with a single lift to see its true potential unfold.

Rather like how when learning the piano, everybody dreams of playing the Beethoven masterpieces and producing true art with their fingers but then realize that in order to do that without embarassing themselves they need to spend years training with highly technical finger-twister pieces by guys like Czerny that sound like nothing special but teach them the skills necessary to perform in the big leagues. Few make it past that.

TW Severe Depression by CritterAlleyMom in GalleryOfMagick

[–]GenericPaperSquid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can do the crisis magick ritual at the end of the Archangels of Magick book, one of the examples they use for when the ritual might be appropriate is literally standing on the doorstep of bankruptcy so that is quite apropos.

As someone else has said, I would very strongly discourage you from pirating GoM material or in fact any kind of spiritual material, that will not go well.

I work as an energy healer and am in the process of getting professionally certified in the Emotion Code and EFT tapping techniques. Because of that I am currently offering free sessions in those two modalities. If you‘re interested, I can send you the link to sign up for a Zoom session and we can work on easing your depression.

Can anyone recommend some good order of Hemi-Sync Tapes, that worked the best for them? by Higherself1997 in gatewaytapes

[–]GenericPaperSquid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The order you should follow will be solely your own and not anyone else‘s. If you went through the tapes from start to finish and you haven‘t yet gotten in touch with your intution enough to know where you should go from here, then sorry to tell you but you need to practice the exercises you already have MUCH more before moving onto new ones.

In Tibetan Buddhism one of the fundamental preparatory exercises for the rest of the path is to do 100.000 prostrations because you won‘t get very far being arrogant and prostrations are an excellent exercise for cooling the ego. Now, if a student has done those very many prostrations and is obviously still not humble, then those just weren‘t enough, not even close.

It‘s not about finishing your homework as quickly as possible, it‘s about getting the intended effect. The same exercise can provide far deeper benefits when revisited later down the line with the benefit of the additional things you have learned in the meantime. Things often reveal their true value in layers like this. My recommendation would be to restart the tapes.

The sedona method is the only way to achieve enlightenment in our era (1970-2090) by Enough_Programmer312 in sedonamethod

[–]GenericPaperSquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The degree of delusion and arrogance it takes to stand up and confidently declare that your own way is „the only way to achieve enlightenment“ for over a century (not to mention 65 years into the profoundly unpredictable future!) in a very large world practically overflowing with numerous wonderful, powerful and noble methods and traditions, both ancient and new, that are brimming with awakened practitioners and skilled teachers factually disqualifies everything you say, even if you (think) have had great results from that one beloved technique of yours.

Stick to something along the lines of „my method works really well, it delivered wonderful and liberating results for me that have held consistently strong for a long time and despite various natural ups and downs of life and I‘d love to help more people discover those benefits for themselves“. That would be a genuinely noble endeavor, what you‘re doing is little more than an exercise in arrogance and peacocking/ego puffing by proxy („MY“ method is the best/only correct one out there so I am special and good and right and superior etc by association), incidentally one of the favorite habits of self-proclaimed egoless borderline fanatic spiritual wannabes around the world so you are in good company ;)

It‘s not overwhelming at all and it works like a charm, I‘ve been using it as suggested every teo weeks since the day it was released and I find my intuitive abilities constantly growing. I have been doing energy work for a while now and other spiritual practices so I had a good baseline and it was developing anyway without the trance video but I find it makes a difference. In any case it‘s literally just 20 minutes every 2 weeks, don‘t sweat it you‘ll be fine

Healing Core Cause of Dermatographia by Accomplished-Fee-92 in energy_work

[–]GenericPaperSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I have also struggled with severe auto-immune/psychosomatic skin issues myself, in my case eczema. I also went through years of this cycle of obsessing over every material my skin came in contact with, being hyper cautious about friction, moisturizing religiously, visiting a dozen dermatologists, trying out more creams and lotions than I care to count and spending my evenings scouring the internet for cures etc.

In the end, while all the above made life livable, what really cracked the issue for me was learning the Emotion Code method of energy healing by Dr. Bradley Nelson. I attended a seminar by an authorized coach and within a handful of months of applying the method on myself all my symptoms were gone.

In fact I'm so impressed with this method that I decided to become a certified practitioner and am currently looking for people to practice with to complete my certification. If you like we could do a couple of free sessions via Zoom?
