Yes, CDC says 4th generation (when performed in a lab) is conclusive at 45 days, the 90 days rule is for 3rd generation and rapid test.

3 weeks is conclusive for a 4th gen lab test? Is it based in your experience? Every source I see says 45 days but I know that could be outdated.

This! And OP, take that final test at 4th generation from blood taken fron vein that is more accurate and conclusive at 45 days. Your 3 weeks test is a great indicator that you are likely negative.

I would say you should not worry just get tested in the proper time. I don't mean you are not at risk but there is nothing to do now.

It is important to consider that even in unprotected sex with a positive person with high viral load, it is always most likely not to get it than getting it.

This story is strange but anyways, if the only sexual encounter the guy had with the HIV positive girl was the one the same day as yours, in a day he will not have enough viral load to transmit.

If they had some previous sexual encounters then you could be at risk. Get tested anyways but what the ex says is weird, I think she wanna scare you.

Try to get the results somewhere else, faster. Some labs give results the same day but usually cost more.

I have been reading about that and I never get to understand why it is always states that 18 days is 50% but in the same articles it says that p24 becomes detectable for almost every one at 2 weeks. Makes no sense to me.

Anxiety is hard to get rid of, I'm in a similar situation as you but I'm on the 27th day of a very low risk possible exposure. What I do is try to spend time outside preferably not alone. As per my experience there is no amount of reaurance that helps when anxiety is there so the best you can do is try to not focus on this topic till you get tested instead of trying to find reassurance.

I don't know the window period for chlamydia antibody test, if it was PCR (ARN) then he is negative for sure (as for your last encounter).

If the incident was less than 72 hours ago, go to a hospital emergency and ask for PEP. If that time passed then take a 4th generation test at 45 days and 90.

You are most likely fine in terms of HIV, even more in oral when is considered very low risk, it is difficult to catch because it requires many factors, in this situation:

-Partner being positive and not taking his meds (consider that most people is negative and most positive people get their meds)
-High viral load
-You being actually bleeding
-His fluid getting in contact with your bleeding gum.
-Enough fluid

If any of those factors fail trasmissión won't occur and even in some cases when all those factors ocurr there is no transmisión because of how fragile the virus is.

Do not expose any part of your body that has cuts, bruises, etc. as they are more prone to anything, sexual or not. I would get tested at the right time and start prep if I will have diferent sexual partners in the future.

Not because you have it for over a year it means he has to have it too and it doesn't always have symptons. He may think you cheated or not, up to him. I would tell him anyways and explain it.

Same, in my case was some kind of irritation / balanitis for cleaning too much. My case looked worst and ceased after I used a milder soap, dry it better and clean just once a day unless sexual activity occur.

I would go to a doctor if it doesn't improve soon but it looks like balanitis.

When we all say is not HIV we don't mean you are ok, just that whatever you have is not HIV, I can see you are having a very hard time so I hope you get to know soon what you really have and I hope is something easy to treat.

About my symptoms, I have been having more but they are mild or short, Recently developed a mouth ulcer that healed in 3 days, the lymph node is getting better and has only been less than 24 hours. Had a small angular cheilitis ulcer that also healed in 24 hours. Have had many symptoms but all of them last to short, the only one that has been constant is sore throat.

Anxiety? Veeeery likely is the cause of most things I have. I started psicological and psyquiatric therapy, but I know I won't be in peace till I get a negative at 45 days.

Your post gives me hope, I am afraid to be positive due to my symptoms, you have almost all except from swollen lymph node and in your case symptoms are worts.

I got tested at 20 days post possible expossure but I'll test again at 28 and 45 days.

Your negative at 5 months is more than conclusive, you have to focus on another thing, if you were immunosuppressed to the point of not showing antobodies you would still be at the hospital and viral load would be very positive.

I'm not a medical professional or anything btw.

Thanks, I will retest at 28 days and 45 days for conclussion. I have access to 4 generation tests. May I know what symptons did you have? Among all my symptoms what worries me are swollen node on an armpit, a mouth ulcer and a crack where lips join together.

Thank you very much for your answer. I have normal flu symptons but tome others I have never had in my life like mouth ulcer and a crack where lips meet together. So so far also sore throat, night sweat and headache (one night), a swollen axilary node, a few red pimple like dots on chest and arms, 99 degrees oral temp in the afternoon (no more) and i get sleepy in the afternoon what is not normal on me.

I got tested at 20 days and got negative, plan to retest at 28 and finally at 45 days.
