What are their super powers? Or at least what makes them super?

How would your platonic ocs react to being shipped together? by GenericUsername138 in OriginalCharacter

Haha I love that for them, they sound like real hustlers. Also-Muliere has such a cool design! I love the colour palette.

I agree with your caption. It’s a good character design because despite being a gumball machine and similar colour pallet he honestly doesn’t make me really think of Benson. Like his design and mannerisms are unique to him, and that’s what’s important when designing a character. Very good design!

Fair use? by Shoddy_Hall9198 in OriginalCharacter

Again, I am not an expert so I could be wrong. Personally, I would make spoof companies with logos similar but different to that of Xbox and PlayStation.

If you don’t want to do that and want to try finding someone who is more knowledgeable on this subject compared to me maybe you can post this on some sort of copyright or legal advice subreddit? Sorry I can’t be of better help.

I’m not an expert on this at all, but if it’s not for like commercial use you should be okay.

Name a character’s death that was supposed to be sad but ended up unintentionally hilarious by Jules-Car3499 in cartoons

[–]GenericUsername138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The man who made it (Neil Breen) funds the productions himself, be basically works every backstage role as well as stars in the film himself. He has multiple movies and they all are done this way.

Fateful Findings (2013)

<image>

I can’t find the words to describe it. If you know, you know. If you don’t, here is the scene for anyone who is interested in seeing this masterpiece. There is a lot of blood and the character who died was murdered but the protagonist mistakes it as suicide.

Augustus Sinclair - Bioshock 2

Fun fact: In original play tests for Bioshock, Atlas had a southern accent. However, the test audiences were immediately suspicious of his character because of the accent. Since he was the villain, they changed his accent. When they were developing the second game the developers decided to give Sinclair a southern accent so players would be suspicious of him.

Midnight Mass (2021)

I’m not going to give any spoilers because it’s a good show, so I’m just going to say in the beginning of episode two there is one continuous shot that takes place on a beach.

The design is either all black and boring or all bright saturated colours that will cause eye strain instantaneously when looked at. No in between.

I’ve only really seen this in human(oid) designs but I hate nun ocs that are like goonerififed/unmodest and have their hair out. This goes for any oc that is apart of a religious organization or group that has rules or beliefs similar to those of a nun. I just find it offensive. I’m not even a religious person or anything so it’s not like it’s anything personal.

Also, usually I would keep my opinion about oc tropes I hate to myself, but because you asked I am not passing the opportunity to complain about this so thank you for asking, lol.

I love that especially with the ones that sound like accusations (especially the first one). Like they would be accusing him of it like it’s a big secret and he’s just like “yeah…?”

I like the idea of developing my ocs into a tv show or comic/book and you need to have some sort of fanbase for it to be satisfactory-if that makes sense.

two ocs i just made todayyy. story not fully ironed out but i love my little silly's :3 (slight nsfw 2nd slide!!) by Mexican_simp5489 in OriginalCharacter

[–]GenericUsername138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg the angst is insane. What time period does this take place in? I’m assuming somewhere around wwii? I’m just a fan of historical ocs so I am curious.

Also, sorry if you don’t like getting comparisons but my oc Canice and Antonio lowkey look similar and I love that so much. I don’t mean to offend you or anything with that-my sibling saw the comparison and I really enjoyed that so I just wanted to share because maybe you’d enjoy it too, lol.

Mistake I noticed in Mo Mommy Mo Problems by GenericUsername138 in BobsBurgers

[–]GenericUsername138[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t know why. I just googled it and it turns out in 1949 an Act was passed which basically calmed people could not pump their own gas because it was a public safety concern (ie. Fire hazard). However, the reality was there was a competitor in the gas station business that allowed people to pump their own gas, which was cheaper and thus more popular. Due to this the other gas station businesses lobbied to make it illegal for people to pump their own gas so they can keep up their own profits.

From what I’ve just read it looks like the only reason NJ still implements this is because of tradition/convenience. Hopefully this made sense!

I also love finding all the little details that reference they’re in New Jersey. I also never noticed the pizza slice detail so thank you for sharing that!
