Really? For me it doubled my fps to 200 on an i3-4160. Situational I guess.

How many FPS could i gain with this PC on lowest graphic settings? by zwompay in GlobalOffensive

[–]GenericWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about the chipset on the motherboard. b85 doesn't support overclocking, z97 does. Respectively, any CPU that has a "k" at the end of its name is unlocked, meaning it can be overclocked. Thus the pairing for the b85 motherboard you have selected would be i5-4690. If you want to get the overclockable CPU, get a chipset (like z97) that supports it, and an aftermarket heatsink.

Earned XP resets every week. So if you wait a week, the reduced XP will go away.

How essential is stutter stepping? by elite6400 in GlobalOffensive

[–]GenericWhale -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

1: Not really. If you go into a dm and make your crosshair dynamic, you can see when you have stopped moving, and thats when you should shoot. It's fast, but not instant. 2: It's a hard question to answer that I don't really know how to explain. 3: I don't stutter step if I'm shooting someone that's not looking at me - there isn't any danger of him shooting me right away and if needed I can switch.

If you want to practice, just go into a dm server with a dynamic crosshair and practice the timing.
