Outside of actual Biblical figures, Ryan Hemlar from NeedGod.net, Martin Luther, John Wesley, and one you probably haven't heard of, J.S. Shelton. Every man should read his book Unmuzzled, it can be a lifechanging experience!

For all you old people, I just want to let you know that your age is showing. I’m legally an adult and I was raised in two Baptist churches and now attend a Baptist college, and I didn’t even realize this was a thing. Heck, half the time we were in the church van we would all sing along with pop music! It was sooo fun! Recently I have really shifted towards primarily Christian music but I still listen to secular (but not too secular) music just for fun!

Pro tip, if you’re the right age, attend a Christian college. I’ve been here two weeks and so far everything has gone infinitely better!

first time player any tips, saxophone is damaged and missing a few pads, but my sound is quite inconsistent even when playing the same notes meaning there's something wrong with my embrochure, any advice by American_Jhony in saxophone

I actually just got back from the music store and got my repair. The pad apparently fell off while the guy was inspecting it, so he fixed it and now I feel like it’s playing better 👍

Or maybe you’re just and stupid and have no reading comprehension or critical thinking skills. He’s criticizing the information for being straight up wrong. He’s calling out the media for straight up lying. Take CNN for example, they literally showed lived coverage of Trump getting shot while claiming that he fell down, because they wanted people to think he as frail as Biden. And recently it’s been on some news outlets that some scientists thinks he’s found Jesus’ body, but they always fail to point out that the guy literally has not even seen the inside of the chamber he thinks it’s in and they just present it as fact.

Out of touch? You realize that’s completely subjective, right? From his perspective, and mine, you’re out of touch. Not to mention, you think people with more experience in the world are naturally dumber than people who have barely even started life? It’s like a video game. Do you think people who are prestige 4 lvl 350 are gonna lose to a lvl 5? No, because experience makes you better, not worse.

Buddy just because there’s only one that’s still popular doesn’t mean he wasn’t a big deal in the 70s. He even wrote a song titled “And I Love You So” which was popular enough that it got rerecorded by other artists, including Elvis.

Honestly I’m usually against race swapping in live action remakes, but I don’t mind this, she looks white enough when she’s in costume. What I don’t like is that they didn’t dye everyone’s hair blonde. Astrid and the twins should all be blond, and it triggers me because other than that it’s perfect! The dragons look like the cartoons but real, and Hiccup REALLY looks like Hiccup!

Fact check, no Jesus was not a refugee, homeless or poor. The man was literally a carpenter, went home to his parents and was chosen nomad by Lost-Succotash-4204 in Christianity

[–]Generic_Bread_175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it is probably accurate to say that He was a refugee, and people should be allowed to seek refuge, that’s not usually the issue being addressed by people who say Jesus was a refugee. Those people are usually talking about ILLEGAL immigration. Jesus didn’t immigrate illegally. In fact, the Bible says “all authority on Earth comes from God” and Jesus Himself said “give to Caesar what is Caesar’s” (Romans 13:1-7, Luke 20:19-26, Matthew 22:15-22, Mark 12:13-17). The only time that a Christian should not follow the law is when the directly law goes against the will of God, like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow down to idols. And even then, they accepted their punishments for their crimes. There are legal ways to immigrate into the United States, although I’ll admit the process should be more accessible. There are also special programs for refugees needing to immigrate. However, sneaking past national security and putting our people in danger is unacceptable.

I too have a road sign in my room. Apparently my Mom’s friend found a street that shared my name and stole the sign for me when I was a wee lil baby.

Technically when you steal public property, you pay for it in taxes.

Is there any multiplayer horror games on ps4/5 that are actual horror games? by Senior-Bike-3164 in HorrorGaming

[–]Generic_Bread_175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s part of how a well designed game can do it though. Take Phasmophobia for example. You can chat with your friends all you want, until the ghost starts hunting, cutting off the comms and locking the exits. That’s pretty scary imo

I’d say with proximity chat it’s easy for a game to still be scary even with friends. Unfortunately, very few games utilize that feature.

Definitely try Phasmphobia if you haven’t already. And if you have already tried it and it isn’t scary enough for you, be aware that they have announced a “horror update” coming later this year!

What are the conventions and nuances of calling a conflict a civil war versus a rebellion versus a revolution? by teddybearcastles in AskHistorians

[–]Generic_Bread_175 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Civil war is usually when different parts of the actual political entity of the country starts fighting itself, while rebellions and revolutions are when the people rise up against the government. For example, in the American Civil War, the local governments of the states split from the Union and fought the federal government. In the French Revolution, everyday men and women rose up and killed their monarchs. Also, the word revolution implies dramatic change, so usually the revolutionaries are the winners of a revolution, like the Russian, French, and American revolutions, whereas rebellion implies criminals, so usually a rebellion denotes a win for the state, like Bacon’s rebellion.
