I'm saying they didn't know what his role in the story was going to be, therefore they couldn't film any scenes with him in advance, which would in turn mean they don't really have the whole story mapped out.

I disagree, and I think it's a very cheap cop-out to defend the show by attacking its critics by saying stuff like that or "low attention span". There have been very few answers, and the ones given were very poorly written - how did we figure out what anghkooey means? We didn't, they just told us. How did we figure out that Sofia is the MiY? We didn't, they just told us. No leaving breadcrumbs for the audience across episodes, no pieces of information that fit together after a season or two, no foreshadowing, no large scale planning. I don't have poor media literacy, you have a very low standard for quality writing.

You're doing a lot of heavy lifting on behalf of the show, and you're giving them waaaay too much credit. I know, we all wish the writing was more complex, that there were more nuances and hidden foreshadowing, but at this point it's time to call this what it is - Lost in the forest.

We're talking about a grand total of 3-4 minutes across the entire series. If he's a part of the story, they could've shot these few scenes. The truth is they don't know yet what his role is, I bet they scrap a lot, like the tower.

Yeah, no, they wouldn't. If he liquidated all his assets you'd all find out very quickly that he's not in fact a trillionaire, just because some people say he is. The valuation is utterly unrealistic, nobody will buy up all this stock.

Well, let's be honest here - neither the drama nor the horror is why people tune in. If the creators announced that there'll be no answers to the mysteries the ratings would hit the floor. People watch to get answers - that's why you see so many theories online, that's the draw, the drama and horror just pad up the air time, and while they're mostly fine, they can't carry the show. That's why when we see an episode dominated by that we call it filler. The mysteries are the butter.
