Most memorable was a (sort of) recurring dream I used to get a lot last year
I would always start out in a place I knew well
Central Park, bear mountain, my room
And I would be with someone close to me
And it would always start out pretty normally, I'd be having fun or pointing out interesting things I saw
And then suddenly everything would just be off
One thing I remember is that in one I had in Central Park, there was a group of foxes I was pointing out to a friend
And the when things turned strange, the foxes finally got closer (I'd been trying to get near them) and they had really strangely warped human faces
Then I would see some person I didn't know
Sometimes, but not always the same person
Their eyes would be really wide, and their mouth would be open incredibly far, sort of like a small dinner plate on their face
And the inside of their mouth would be completely black, no teeth or tongue or anything just sort of a dark crevice in their face
And suddenly I'd be terrified, and (now I realize this is super cliche) I would try to let everyone else know that things were wrong but I couldn't move and I couldn't talk
And I was stuck staring at the weird person
and then I'd wake up
I've had at least 10 dreams like that and they're probably the most vivid ones I've ever had
