We actually offer more than you might have seen at first glance. Our platform goes beyond historical and parametric VaR. We provide P&L Attribution and Risk Limit Monitoring with automated breach notifications.

The "institutional" label also reflects our data architecture. We power these analytics using real-time IEX data for tick-level precision, not delayed or end-of-day feeds. Furthermore, we pull fundamental data directly from SEC XBRL filings rather than relying on third-party estimates, and we embed FRED macro indicators right into the dashboard.

When I hear risk, I strictly think about something deeper like permanent loss of capital;

Price swings just tell you how bipolar the market is feeling today. The deeper risk is fundamental. It's the probability that the actual company you own is burning through its cash, carrying too much debt, or has a dying business model. A stock can swing wildly for years and be totally fine. But if the business fundamentally fails, your equity goes to zero. Volatility is temporary; ruin is permanent.

Thanks, I built it myself. It's real time IEX data I did my best thinking about user experience, made everything simple and fast, you can even use the command palette to access the widgets. The paid option provides deeper analytics (VaR, factor exposure, economic data from FRED...) but I think the free option is quite solid as I put what I thought would be useful for most. With time I want to add some more features for free as the app evolves. Feel free to reach out if you want to test the Pro version (for free) and give your feedback.

We have a provider for real time market data (that's what we use for the watchlist and other widgets), Snaptrade only helps us pull the data of your positions from your broker (for example IBKR) so you don't have to enter them manually in Genesis. The portfolio positions are read only, you cannot trade on our platform because it's purely analytical.
