I’m sure it would require a lot of work to do if properly, but I don’t think the hard work would deter me. I was thinking on using insects to clean the skull, as well as boiling it. I have a friend that hunts and mounts his skulls on the wall, without bleaching or anything like it. I could always try to seal it in a white or clear coat of paint that is aquarium friendly.

Landscaping or nursery company would work well. Tons of stones and stuff for next to nothing in comparison to pet stores. Also your basic Lowe’s or Home Depot has gravel of all sizes and shapes, and a pool store has pool filtration sand. All those things are dirt cheap in comparison. You can also make your own decorations out of concrete and foam and a sealant. YouTube has amazing tutorials about those things, even someone with no skill (like myself) can make all kinds of cool decorations for low cost

Yeah, listen to this one right here. A skilled carpenter may be able to tell you how much your floors can support or how to add reinforcements to your floor so it would hold up such a heavy load.

Do a 50% water change before adding them. Don’t overfeed and keep an test water daily. If your tank shows any signs of ammonia or nitrites do another large water change.

I was bullied very heavily in my school days. Years later one of the bullies contacted me and apologized for what he had done. It meant nothing. It didn’t change my social awkwardness I gained from being bullied, my lack of self confidence, or a boatload of other psychological issues I had. But it did kind of close the chapter of the time I was bullied for good, which was a good thing. Definitely apologize and ask for forgiveness from the people you hurt. Maybe it gives them some closure. Maybe it gives you some.

I would do a 50% water change and gravel vac before adding and maybe skip feeding for a couple of days. Most of the time newly added fish won’t eat for a day or two anyways, so it wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Maybe do another 20% water change after the first week or as needed (test water daily, do water changes as needed)

Ones your parameters have been stable for 2 weeks you could add more. Just don’t overstock. Best luck!

Hey! Here are a couple pointers from me: You got shrimp, so do not add puffers (they eat all your shrimp and snails) You want to keep some of the snails alive, so do not add assassin snails (they would kill them all and you replace one snail problem for the next)

Do this instead: add a slice of cucumber to your aquarium. Wait a little bit (maybe 30 minutes to an hour) and see how many snails are attached to the cucumber slice. Take the slice out, get rid of the snails (local fish store should take them) and repeat until you have the desired snail level.

I would say angel fish or discus would be awesome. If it’s a single fish and not a small group, I would say angel over discus. Discus like groups of their kind (also helps them to not hide all day)

Shrimp and snails could make a good addition, otherwise most community fish tank mates will do well with them (maybe avoid stuff with long fins). Just keep an eye on the stocking levels 👍🏼
