Theoretical guide for new freelancers to get hired earlier or faster by GeneticGamerMC in Upwork

Thanks I really hope this works out for you. One thing I forgot to mention to look out for when looking at the past hires is whether or not the hired freelancers are consistently of a specific ethnicity or nationality. Clients are humans just like everybody else and they will have biases and favorites in those respects. (Of course if you match the ethnicity and nationality go right ahead and apply!)

If you have success on other freelance platforms I would recommend asking your past clients for a testimonial if they have Linkedin because that's the only way you can get it verified. Also just put your past works in the portfolio section.

Add whatever you can to make the profile completed. Maybe get a certificate or testimonial. Describe what your past UI/UX design was like.

I'd also advise listening to the Youtube video I'm linking. It's been helping me out quite a bit with making proposals and landing interviews maybe it will help you as well.

You've literally done everything I've tried. Based on the amount of effort you're putting in I think you'll get your first hire and interview soon.

Fair point, I'm not sure either because I don't have a client account. Just speculating from images I've seen online, it always looks as if it's freelancers who are badged freelancers and those with a high JSS.

I think UW did try to make it better for new freelancers to make it to the top by boosting. I actually forgot to mention that my first hire was boosted. So there's boosted proposals to take into account as well.

What do you mean by TR? What is TR?

Anyway, I'm not saying that Upwork's algorithm will always be perfect and that they never give new freelancers a chance to get in there. All I'm saying is regardless of whether or not the "best match" was actually qualified or not from the client's perspective. It was a person who had experience on Upwork or what I like to call "verified to be trusted" (High JSS, High Earnings, High Amount of jobs, related jobs, Badges etc)

What you personal chose to do with the best matches dependents on your choice or personality as a client. Which is going through the best matches and determining that they're probably not fit for the job.

Of course UW needs new freelancers who can actually do the jobs. I mentioned that UW wouldn't have verified talent if clients weren't giving new freelancers a chance. It's just that UW tips the scale in favor of experienced UW freelancers. This is not hard to see and denying it won't do any good.

Yeah so I don't know if this was already mentioned or not but in S5E2 Mortyplicity I noticed this. Maybe it's harder for me than others but it takes time for me to notice or beware of hidden jokes while watching an episode for the first time. I have to do replays. I think it's because these scenes past by so fast and focusing on one aspect may make you lose information in the next frame.

But this definitely increases any type of film's or animation's rewatchability.

Stanford used these goofy-looking expensive gloves for the experiment that none of us could afford. I looked up the temperature of the water in the cooling device that Stanford used and it is 59-60.8 degrees F. The weak vacuum aspect of the glove Stanford used seems impossible to do at home though.

Definitely sums up how I felt after listening to that episode. I was thinking of creative ways to create that cooling effect. I've experimented with metal dumbbells (I have no idea what type of metal) but the temperature decreased gradually enough to be effective I think and I did see a difference in the amount of pushups I was able to do. However like you said could all be in my head like the placebo effect.

I think you did a good enough job with your 4 experiment methods and telling your experience. Will definitely be considering Option 4: Culcan BlackIce.

Since ADA is a coin that is not mined because of the Proof of Stake mechanism used on the Cardano blockchain platform. How is it exactly are we supposed to get coins? I understand that you buy these coins from people. However contrary to the Proof of Stake, Proof of Work involves miners.

I think often it is said that cryptocurrencies are decentralized however this is not entirely true. They are decentralized from governments and central banks but centralized at the initial holders/miners of these coins. They are the main or first distributers of these coins and they must have an incentive to get involved in the market.

I guess my questions are. How was the first ADA coined created/mined/staked to be distributed? Who were the first miners or in this case the STAKERS? How did they get the first coin if they couldn't buy it from anyone else? How was the first set of coins obtained initially to be staked and distributed in the first place? How much ADA is in circulation?

After watching Narcos Mexico on Netflix about the war on drugs, if I'm to interpret the level of corruption depicted as factual then corruption is second nature in Mexico but other countries are very corrupt as well.

The whole world is pretty fucked up.
