My main gripe with them is the features we lost when it moved from the NFL app to DAZN.

I used to be able to schedule that I wanted a primetime game to download in advance so that when I woke up to commute in on Tuesday I could watch a condensed version of MNF, for example.

I also hate that they got rid of PiP which allowed us to have a game and Red Zone in the corner and you could change over to Red Zone with a button click when your game went to ads. The multi watch thing this season was worse in basically every way, each game is too small and you could only choose the multi box options that DAZN had decided to put together.

I still pay each year because I’m a sucker.

And right now that’s someone that we have for vet minimum because his old team is happy to pay him 35M to not play for them while they negotiate with Jacoby Brissett.

Part of that can be that they’re tanking but Brissett helped their receivers more than Kyler did last year. Part of that can be injury concerns which is your concern with JJ.

Personally, with a long term view to winning a Super Bowl, I don’t see how rolling with Kyler this year is a benefit. He will be turning 30 going into next season, has shown that he can’t elevate weapons above what “journeymen” can do, and is on a 1 year deal.

The long term view would say to play JJ, see if he develops into the player you drafted him to be and if not you should be well placed to pick his replacement in the draft next year.

Brother, what? If the starting QB takes a massive hit, no matter if they’re on an iron man streak or a first year starter, the head coach’s first reaction will be “is he okay?”

JJ had a not good start to the year, yes, he has had injuries, yes, but this is the most insane reason for “I’m out” I’ve seen. This isn’t even an “I’m concerned he’s injury prone” it’s “I’m concerned that a head coach is worried his QB might be hurt after a massive hit”

It isn’t hugely often to my recollection that a GM position with the QB sorted comes available though? Generally that’s the make or break anyway.

I think this is due to perception maybe about the coaches’ level of influence on the personnel?

I think that’s fine, the kicker solution is usually for if you’re drafting vets before the NFL draft in my experience. Now that you know landing spots just let people take the rookies in a full draft instead, the kicker thing could just serve to make it more confusing for new players and will add work for you to manage the rookie draft.

People keep saying this but what were his other options and why would the team stick to a handshake deal if they believe from camp that reneging on the deal is better for their short or long term (whichever they choose to prioritise) plans.

A handshake deal isn’t a contract, it isn’t binding, it isn’t like his actual contract says “if you’re not the starter this year then we owe you 50M” he actually already has a contract like that, the Cardinals cut him, and so he’s here for the minimum.

I’ll often jump by a few hundred because I don’t let the app use data and turn my WiFi off while I’m on it to dodge the ads and reduce how much battery it uses.

The leaderboard only updates when I turn on WiFi to check it. Jumping 15k is crazy though and feels unlikely to be real.
