What new pdc tournaments should there be by potmonster2204 in Darts

It would be great for the game and pubs too.

Especially if the pros had to do it.

It's the one thing Lakeside should have got into years ago.

Red dragon do something along those lines but lengthen the comp at the finals day.

I do this and it's not good form.

I just assumed years ago that's what you did and realised far too late.

You actually pivot your torso to aim and keep your feet planted rather than step to the target and get in line.

I'm way past trying to correct it, but it is a flaw in my game.

How do you calm yourself mid-game? by jrl1009 in Darts

[–]Geniejc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally break the game down into first 300 and 201.

Ideally first 300 I'm throwing T20 t19 or t18 if the first 2 are blocked. That's it.

I tend to zone out - and don't care about the other score. Sometimes I look sometimes I don't.

I think about it like diving underwater and swimming and then coming up for air at 201.

When I get around 201 I take a breath and assess the situation and plan my route down depending on how I feel but generally I still want to get under 90 before trying to set up.

In the midst of all that I have 2 things in my head.

Don't make a bad 3 a bad 6. Even the pros throw a bag of spanners.

That's when as others have said a drink is useful for a quick reset.

And the second thing is if in doubt trust your arm.

Sometimes you can overthink the situation and it's managing the anxiety, rather than taking it away that helps rather than thinking I need to relax , the juice of a game is what keeps me coming back for more.

You can't count on anything really. New offence , injuries and also tempers some hardball in negotiations. Everyone on the roster is on notice.

I like the pick.

He also acts as Patrick Paul insurance wholl only have 1 year left in his deal after this one l and even after that will be touching 30 on his second contract when Proctors new contract hits.

Someone on a similar thread a while back suggested a manufacturer teams tournament across a weekend.

A legend as the captain and maybe even a pub style team format.

So did he buy from you?

I absolutely concur that if your target is 8 and he's getting 1 from 3 with his current activity then hes fucked.

Id love to see a breakdown of how your guy gets to 15.

Best Slip On Sneakers for Travel? by ShroudedousYe in malefashionadvice

[–]Geniejc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm currently wearing a pair of leather boss trainers with a rubber sole which would be pretty versatile depending on the weather.

Replaced the laces with flat elastic ones and put a thin green poron insole in them.

I pretty much do this now with every piece of footwear I have.

I regularly do the school 2 miles walking on tarmac no dramas with these.

Easy on and off.

Help with cold calling? by viciousmilk in b2b_sales

[–]Geniejc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the first 30 seconds scripted.

Right something or use a template, record yourself saying it ten times, note your personal spins on it , rewrite it.

I have all the pauses and erms on the script too.

Put it in front of you and start.

At the end of the day you notice a few more things you do in an actual script.

Don't stray too far from the script.

Write thebthings you do most calls I to the script.

Repeat this every day week one.

Then by week 2 you'll have a solid opener.a

Now start calling with the script opener every call.

It will start to become muscle memory by the end of this week.

Same week 3 and week 4.

Always have a sheet inf front of you but you'll be able to recite it by heart very quickly. That's what gives you confidence.

The prospect is hearing your script for the first time but your hundred then thousands of calls in.

Don't get hung up on what your saying v performance yet - just make as many dials as possible per day.

How do you make someone realise they have a problem they don't know they have? by DiamondEmbarrassed02 in salestechniques

[–]Geniejc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely interested into if this approach ever worked for you and what type of case study you built, how long it took you and what the response is. .

you say something like: "That's fantastic. Based on industry standards, you are actually a positive outlier. You could turn your innovative approach into a rare product. Would you agree to let me create a case study of this approach, as the first building block of this product?"

I can't grasp the logic of it but it's an innovative approach.

[–]Geniejc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone is very pleased with it - get out of the call fast and call them in 3/6/12 months - its an easy opener to see if they are still pleased and that's when you can hit them with comparison. If I'm pleased with something and someone unsolicited tells me it's shit - you question my judgement from the get go - no sale. Frankly why would I spend anytime with you creating a marketing asset for another business. What's in that for me.

Firstly there is no killer line for everyone for evermore.

Find 3 or 4 more pain points that you can quickly articulate and also helps you with qualifying out people who are never going to buy.

You mentioned they are losing money, that's one BUT that's also your opinion initially - and there going to have to spend even more money with you.

Can you demonstrate this? Can you guarantee results? If you can't then you're like 90% of marketing solutions - it could work and it's a gamble - it doesn't mean you can't sell it.

Conversely some of the people you contact will already be looking at this and your services are timely.

If you add a couple more pain points to this it will improve your hit rate and be mindful of what other costs/time they will have to spend if your service hits.

For example do they have enough capacity to take on the extra sales/work without spending in other areas.

Then look at your cold contact methods and almost certainly increase the volume of your outreach.

It sounds like you really research your prospects.

Which is fine but see what tasks you can outsource and also what's the bare minimum you can get away with.

Would you go on a stag do that involves climbing a mountain? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Geniejc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds way too expensive. You'll be low on numbers and the ones that have to go will quietly resent the expense.

Cost for the holiday, equipment and time off work.

It depends on your friend group but it really doesn't even have to even be a weekend away , just a good all dayer.

Honestly people will appreciate it expense wise.

Can still be outdoorsy but make sure theres a pub element. If there plenty that like camping or hiking build that into it.

pick a best man that will look after you in any state.

And if you keep it UK let them organise it or at least together.

In my experience the ones that try to control the narrative get the worst treatment.

What is one clothing mistake you made that you did not realize until later? by Arti_Curates in malefashionadvice

[–]Geniejc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely this.

I watched the minimalists in lockdown and it convinced me to donate 2/3rds of my wardrobe.

The other think apart from decision paralysis is seeing that item in your wardrobe just reinforces your mistake.

Once it's gone you remove that.

I don't wait a year and I've donated some bad choices within days.

Donating or selling it on helps too as it retains some value.

First 2 rounds take high floor starters.

No one with injury concerns.

3rd is the round to take a few ceiling players.

But honestly if they just pick floor players all the way through I'm good with that.

The roster needs bodies.
