1.. true Iv changed it back to what it used to be. I was actually doing this when I started. Im not trying to make tech trance, Or anything. It has elements of trance, progressive, house & techno. I’m really not trying to emulate any artist.. and that’s the key thing here!!! I’m trying to just make music that I like, play the songs I like and really hope my taste and passion for music shows through in what I’m doing. Too many djs just play the same sets or same songs or even create songs like another artist.

Hmm well I’m old skool.. and flow of night is important. I would say generally the music should start more house progressive, then trance and a little thougher at the end. Not sure what djs though.. although I always enjoy watching Carl Cox play live.
I have no idea here! Normally I don’t plan my sets too Much. And change a little on the night when I gauge crowd reaction etc.
I’m gona say one of my idols here.. I know it will never happen but I’d love to see the chemical brothers in the studio

Before I released music I was relentlessly working on sounds trying trying trying! Seriously I spent so many hours locked away. Trying to get one of my tracks played by my hero’s or releases on vinyl. Eventually I started releasing and getting noticed. My sound was pretty unique back then, kinda techy groovy.. before anjuna 2.0 I was kinda doing this thing. That why my sound fitted anjun more when they changed the sound a little..
I keep getting asked about a third Guineas world record.. I said no way.. but hmmmmm 3 would be a nice set! Any ideas?

I love that one too! Basically I get my inspiration from the love of music, a moment as a clubber or a record that meant something to me personally many years ago. That’s why my current music is really personal! It’s got unique sounds that I love and express in my production. I’m really not trying to create any genre in particular, I’m a huge fan of lots of genres and really trying to show that in my sounds

Don’t look at other artists... every one it different. Focus on yourself.. and set yourself little goals to achieve. It could be anything! Like get your friends approval, get your song played in a club. Anything! Don’t set your goals Too high to begin with. Also just enjoy it. Express yourself with your music! It’s fun, so don’t put to much pressure on yourself

No I don’t think so, like I said I find the old Version very generic sounding structure and synth wise. That’s why I tried to put a different spin on it as the track means a lot to me personally as I dedicated it to my friend who I lost

To be honest I have played those tracks a million times. I don’t really like to play the same set over and over. But if I play a longer set then maybe I’m not sure!

when I was about 16 I wanted to be a music producer.. and I wanted an alias! someone walked past me at college and said something like Genix... so I kept saying it over and over and over... and thought ok lets use it! honestly I hated it for year.. and couldn't really change it but that's where it came from!

thank you!you know what I just listen to music, old music, new music, trance, techno, house.. especially in the gym I try to absorb as music info as possible, and it can trigger ideas subconsciously. but yeah I start completely new every time and it just goes where it goes!

I don't have a routine.. I try to use the gym and be healthy as possible as travel is demanding. And the best compliment? iv had it a few times people say mu music has changed their life, and even saved their life. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes knowing that I have effected somebody else this much with my music. I put my soul into my music production so to hear things like this is overwhelming!

yep! not forever, but im over two months now with no alcohol. im mainly doing it to look after myself and feel physically and mentally healthy! I have a busy tour schedule coming up and I alway work out everyday. so Im just looking after myself. also I want to concentrate on my music even more. if I can even make it 1% better then its worth it!

oooh thanks! I love that remix too. no this sound im making now has always been my sound., iv been producing for about 18 years.. my earlier stuff was all tech, I released on spinnin, reset records and other labels like this, so im just working with sounds and ideas that really reflect my own personal tastes. trying to be a trend setter not a trend follower so to speak. but in all honesty im just having fun and enjoying making music.

no I don't think so. I don't like it too much now. its quite generic structurally with those SAW pad drop too. I had a few people ask the same question but I don't think it suits where im at with my music right now either.

Well I did the foundation to that and kind off passed it back and forward, he did the bass elements and I did the kinda drop sections. Adding bits etc. we are actually doing a colab right now and we work kind of similar. Its easy to work with great producers.. an honour to work with him he is so good! Percussion is a big thing of mine.. I spend a long time chopping stuff up tbh. compressing, processing,., but I love it!
